Just an idea, but I don't see a need for a 20% charge on the Explorer merchant. Was hoping you guys would be able to remove it.

or just have it go down. make it 10 or 5% if you want the convenience fee. 20% is a bit obscene. we shouldn't be trying to remove the amount of plats in the game at this point. especially since feathers and their exchange rate keep the economy relatively inflation free.

Inflation is already happening...and how should feathers keep the economy steady? They are also mass-farmed constantly and are not directly linked ingame with a gold cost, aka both can fluctuate individually

except they are directly linked in-game with a gold cost. you spend feathers on items at the bits & pieces merchant, specifically for crafting. 5k feathers amounts to 1 plat worth of mats hence why feathers keep a consistent exchange rate of 5k feathers for 1 plat. a 20k feather item by extension costs 4 plat on the open market which is why you dont see the stupidity of items going for 20,30,40p. . this is the case in mid. is this different elsewhere?

Did i miss a direct link? The only mats i purchased at the bits merchant are phoenix ashes and tears....and since they aren't sold for gold otherwise, how is that a link?
The 1plat per 5k feathers is (afaik) an arbitrary playermade value. The offers are already going up too, seeing someone offer more than 3p for a standard 15k item has already happened in midgard and the more money people amass the more they will be willing to pay for feathers. Especially when the feather raids might see a decline / or take longer because less people attend
