Ranger/NS leveling groups - Phoenix Freeshard

As ive started to level my ranger ive noticed a very consistent issue/dilemma taking place. Most people will form "bomb" groups to level quickly. Which makes sense as i did the same with my enchanter. However rangers and NS offer NO utility to these groups and more often then not get passed up and are forced to level solo. This isn't such a pain just takes much much longer to level even while doing gathering tasks. My suggestion is increase XP gains from gathering tasks for less then favorable classes in groups. Or possibly give an XP bonus to these classes in all cases.

Rangers and NSs make great pullers, plus the 18CD side stun provides great utility. They may not have the highest social bonus, but its still good. Even better would be to be highly knowledgeable of great level relevant XP spots and mob types to match current 150-200% bonuses; that's what groups really need more of and its universal across all classes.

Or level an Animist and farm XP Items

Heres another little nugget, ive hit level 50 now and it seems impossible to join an NS/HoH group as a ranger. Confirmed this through multiple sources. So now rangers have another major disadvantage as we cannot farm feathers adequately unless you join a gala raid or slowly through rvr. This is an obviously flawed class to play socially as rangers off 0 utility to a grp other then "great pullers"

Well assassins and archers are kinda solo classes and always were. They were designed to be that.

And i am pretty sure ur first intention is not to play group vs group in RvR with ur ranger. Otherwise you would have leveled another class.
Every class has its banes and boons.

Just another suggestions to powerup the class of the topic-creater.

There are MANY classes that don't get to see DS/HoH due to "optimal group makeup", but then that also changes from time to time. Galla, Legion, World Boss raids and PvP are how most people get feathers anyway... that and buying items from people who farm DS/HoH. Probably shouldn't also mention that Rangers aren't that great at farming money either.

These are not necessarily inherent flaws with the NS and Ranger classes, but perhaps might it be the expectations of them?

Seriously though, maybe roll up an Animist/Druid/Bard and help other Rangers and NS's level while building yourself a/some farming toon(s).
