I have 1 lap top and 1 desktop. i play on my desk top and my daughter used to play on the laptop with her own account. She has quit the game and hasnt logged on in over 2 months and has no desire to play again. I find myself traveling soon with her quitting the game and the account being inactive for months would i run into issues playing my account on the laptop for my upcoming trips? Thanks in advance.

Should be fine, since they are not retroactively banning accounts that have been used on the same pc as another Account

They basically set a clean slate today when the transitionphase ended and if you lof your account on the laptop it will count as the main account for the laptop and you then cant log other accounts ok it anymore

The Problem may now go further. We are a family and played with 3 accounts, one for each family member but owning only one computer(able to playgames).

At the start of the year, one account has been closed(not able to connect), we are not sure the reason, cause nobody answered to our question for that.

The new rule say now , only one account per computer(being the result of the new 4th March rule) .

Ok, we have already moved so it doesnt matter, but we will not buy another computer to play a "free to play server".
Daoc is a fine Game, but something seems to make the rulesetters going mad after time of managing the server.
We roll out our own family server soon and check out, what may be the reason ;-) .

For quite a while the rule has been one account per computer and to use the same account if there is only 1 shared computer in a household. While it technically is account sharing, it's not the kind that we care about.
The only case we care about is one computer logging into multiple accounts which is no longer allowed, before the 4th only the creation from the same computer was not allowed.

Hi Luriella!
The account change isn't intended to make life difficult for people that are playing by the rules. In your stated case, since you only have one computer, you can only log on one account at a time anyway! In your case, I believe, the best choice would be for your family to simply use one account for all your characters. Accounts have 100 slots (10 per page), so you can reserve roughly 3 pages for each member of your family. Whoever wants to play can then simply log on to their characters, and when another member wants to play, the previous member logs out and the new one logs on. It shouldn't be much different than what you are already doing.

The staff has also said that they are willing to make some exceptions for people with multiple players/computers in the same household to avoid certain hardships or awkward arrangements. Be sure to send a DM to one of the GMs either here on the forums or on the official discord server if you think your situation warrants it. Also, be sure to do this before you find yourself crossing the new rules! It's much better to ask permission first than to have to explain yourself after you are caught doing something wrong. The staff will work with you, but just be aware that they are really busy right now digesting the recent changes, as well as helping other people that might be in similar circumstances. Be patient and be smart and everything will work out.

P.S. Thanks Gruens! he said exactly what I was mentioning!

Good luck!

I wonder if the GMs would be willing to move the characters from one account to another so people can still play and not lose their progress. I can imagine that there could be multiple level 50 mid to high RR characters on the different accounts. It would be undesireable to lose all of that.

I cannot see that in my client at all.
When i guess that accout sharing would be allowed , i had no problem with that.
We played 3 acc on live as well , account sharing ( more than one player per account) was always not allowed at every free to play server.
So i may have misunderstood the rules due to lack of american englisch.
...
I tried to create a 11th char on the remaining accounts, but i didnt succeed, so .... sounds like scify.

We sent some mails/post to gamemaster, but we never got an answer,
so rules i now understand was :

1 account n*player 1 computer would be ok (but u can only share 10 chars)
3 acc 3 players 1 computer = not ok
1 acc 1 player 2 computer = not ok
2 acc 2 player 2 computer but one ip = not ok
2 acc 2 player 2 computer 2 realms same household = not ok
to be continued
....

Hi again!
On the phoenix launcher, there is a little page select dropdown with numbers 0-9 on it. This selects which page of characters is displayed. If you select page 0, character slots 1-10 will be visible, page 1 will show slots 11-20, etc. To change pages, you have to log out and run the launcher again and select a new page.

Good luck!

Imo the correct classification would be as follows (but im not staff, so don't take any action just because of this)

1 account n*player 1 computer would be ok (up to 10 pages with 10chars each are available, as romulus explained with pcitures)
3 acc 3 players 1 computer = not ok
1 acc 1 player 2 computer = ok
2 acc 2 player 2 computer but one ip = ok, but you have to make sure that you never violate the realmswitchtimer and that you log out when AFK for longer (because when multiple accounts play from a single household you might get checked for multiaccounting)
2 acc 2 player 2 computer 2 realms same household = not ok

Ok, that is smth. i do not recognize for a whole year. So i see, that our trouble is homemade.
Maybe it is, cause the Phoenix Laucher shows only short the window and only the left half, when starting .

So the farewll taste sour. but maybe we see again in ESO (with now one account ^^ )
