So my bf is obsessed with this game and i decided to give it a try. He wen't on alb so i followed him there.

I made up my mind to play either a minstrel, cleric or a reaver, are any of these classes something a new player can get into ?

I think what i will have most problems with is managing all the buttons at once, it's not like any other online game that i've played before.

Any help is appreciated!

Hard to say how fast you are with getting into things, but while the minstrel is the most powerful solo/smallmen char (and also required in any group) it is also the most complicated class that requires you paying attention to many things.
Cleric and reaver both are quite easy to get started with, although cleric are ofcourse a bit more crucial to a group.

What is your BF playing? If you want to duo with him while you are looking for groups or similar the recommendation would heavily depends on what he is playing.
Why isn't he given you the input you need or is it supposed to be a surprise that you started too?

PS: this is about RvR btw. if you are only interested in PvE then just play what you think sounds the most intresting. I would recommend a different game for PvE though

Tanks (reaver) are usually quite easy to get into, because in grps your sole responsibility is to use taunt styles and keep healers/casters safe. I just started a cleric and had never played any healer before (despite having played this game x years) and the responsibility of keeping everyone alive is sometimes a bit much lol (this guide is here has helped me, it's a bit old but still useful I think: http://www.gamemecca.net/forums/showthread.php?19183-Cleric-guide). But, again, you get used to it - Ievelling is pretty easy here, so I'd say try out a few characters (also in grps) and see what you prefer (if you want to get ready for rvr as quickly as possible, casters are very cheap to equip while tanks are more expensive. But again, if you have help that might not be such an issue).

Hi , out of the 3 classes you mentioned a Cleric would be the easiest for you imo. BUT I think for starting off new a wizard or armsman would be easiest if you were to be open to all classes.

I would say, each class is good for a new player, with only exception for main CC-Classes, like Bard, Pac-Healer, Sorc. These classes are more something for an advanced player.

For a new player - a Heavy Tank - the Armsman or a light melee - the Mercenary - both are perhaps the best choice.

A Minstrel has to be very quick in RvR - choose right targets quick, rupt them - dd, flute mess, stun, demezz own group quick, permanent switch songs, especially for pet, and survive!

A Cleric is a class with most responsibility of all - your mistake and you group wipes.

So, a melee will be most easy for a total newbe.

As a new player, between those three choices, go with a Reaver.
