Shield styles...bonus’?

Any difference besides endo costs of the styles? Of course they have pre-requisiyes.

Or is there really only the need for numb(trick) and slam?

Logically, slam should be much lower in the line with a reduced duration. Or as a follow up to numb that extends the stun duration, just like any other style chain in the game.

Never understood why an anytime was more powerful than every positional style and all but one of the reactive shield abilities.

Agreed. I ended up speccing 35 Shield on my Merc. Because I'm so used to positionals anyways I don't even feel the lack of Slam.
