Strafe Sensitivity Too High

It says I did it, then I strafed, miss chance 0%... It's a bit messy to hold like a lemming while doing RvR, and I think that the move I did is a common move for stealthers.

Glad to help =) if I can

It's way too high. All I could see you doing was an adjustment just to make sure you were in the proper arc for the attack. It wasn't even a fourth of a 90 degree arc and you still got the strafe penalty? That's insane.

I explain that many times on other posts but the people use to answer like "u have no skill" bla bla bla bla...
This video is the prove that just a little movement can ruin an inc.

I see you strafing before you perform the CD...?

Looks pretty cut and dry to me. Why strafe in that situation anyways?

It is pretty simple to reposition as needed and cheese positionals in combat without using the strafe keys.

cause I move on the target or adjust the position by W+A and the result is a diagonal line that u can model with the right button of the mouse to turn (if needed).

Works on Live, works on Uthgard and all the free shards, here if you adjust the position you can miss PA as well 100% chance

If you watch the video it was just "A" button in this case.

My strafe keys are on n and m, and using w and s for forward/backward, so that says something about how little I use strafe.

It's a cheap way of landing positionals, and you need to learn how to use combo of mouse/face/forward/backward to land them. And it's not hard here, my VW landed backside/sidestun almost every 1v1.

Bro, could be simple but I play since this game was a crap in beta... No one needs to learn here just watch the video and you see there's something that doesn't work

I see you strafe, and therefor fail. Remove the crutch and learn to live without strafe. I played since 2001 and I stopped using strafe in 2017. 16 years of strafe, and yet I could learn to live without it in 1 week.

I dont even understand why you use strafe.
CD is not positional, all you had to do was /stick or /face and it would have landed no problem.

There's a huge difference in the strafe tolerance between Phoenix and live/Uth. Even just accidentally tapping the strafe key causes the style to fail. This needs to be looked at and fixed.

So.... Your strafe key?

I do agree that the strafe registration can be a little sensitive here, but I think that is a product of the fact that this is a DoL server. I'm not sure they can actually make things as tight as live servers. Just look at how much easier it is to pull off side styles and back styles in 1v1s here. There is fraction of a second bigger window compared to live and it feels like that is because the server and clients just aren't communicating as quickly.

That being said this video is a horrible example of the complaint because you are literally strafing as you go into the style animation, and are doing so in a situation where there is absolutely no reason to strafe. Using this clip as evidence is going to result in a lot of people reacting negatively even if there is a real issue because it feels contrived and "noobish".

I suggest learning to play without the crutch. That way if the strafe & miss mechanic gets altered in the future you are that much better at the game and even better equipped to abuse it.

The videos still has 4 views, so u didn't watch it and still talking.

I watched it last night on my phone and today on a desktop. Both times before I posted.

YouTube view counts can take up to 48 hours to update. This is why, for example, a highly upvoted and commented on new post in the deepintoyoutube subreddit might only display a couple hundred views on YouTube.

I’d assume the fact that I directly addressed details of your video in my post is also a pretty good indication that I had seen it.

Sorry that what I wrote doesn’t fit into your narrative.

I've watched the video 3 times now, and every time I'm baffled at the strafe before CD.

People still dont get that strafing to land a positional style is not done by using the strafe key. Its just the same word but no one uses a or d for strafing e.g. a back or side style.
