Can someone share specific number for: LA and CS spec.
Why to choose one over the other? Pros vs Cons
Mostly interested in sin fights.

If you're interested in fighting other sins just go 50LA 10CS. BS2 followed by Snowsquall chain is a decent stealth opener. Having an anytimer with no def penalty is nice. Use polar light + frost shadow as an evade chain unless you're looking to land a stun then use comeback + FG.

High CS spec is much more reliant on landing perf or Bs2 until you can crank your composite LA spec high enough to counteract some of the penalty. With higher hp/con across the board is also almost impossible to get a perf hit that does as much or more dmg than enervate steals hp. This makes the openers next to worthless aside from the utility of stun/popping blade turn/popping ablatives.

Good luck.

Thank you Mavella. Very complete answer.

Just wanted to know. Polar light is only lvl 8 and Frost shadow is lvl 15 versus Comeback lvl18 and Frosty lvl 39.

Wouldn't I be gimping my damage by using the Polar lright chain as opposed to the Comeback chain ?

The level of the style doesn't really matter. PL+FS are 0.9/0.95 growth rates and CB/FG are 0.94/1.0. The difference is minimal and the damage will only be slightly less. PL/FS also have small defensive bonuses which are nice.

If you go giving away free stun immunity with FG you'll probably end up costing yourself fights. I try and save the stun for after I know my targets purge is down or I'm being added on already low on health as a desperation move.

Thanks Mavella. Last question about what you said.
I don't understand what you meant by "giving away free stun immunity". How is it going to cost me the fight?
Sorry I am not questioning your motive, I just want to understand and learn.

If you get the first hit on people you're immediately at a slight advantage as they are hitting you back under enervate. If you stun them in the first few swing they can immediately purge all your poisons/debuffs and heal. You're now spending the next few combat rounds trying to reapply all your poisons. Sb has a slightly easier time in that you have a good chance to reapply 2 poisons immediately. You're also putting yourself at the mercy of resists again and depending on how many weapon swaps you carry you might not have a 3rd enervate weapon to try again. Basically it creates a window where they can hit you harder. Lifebane isn't ticking. Disease isn't cutting heal procs in half and they get 550hp back from double heal. If you wait to stun after it basically guarantees the win.

I tend to play with the assumption my opponents purge is always up for these reasons.
