When did swimspeed get changed?

So i just noticed that swimming-speed is slightly slower than running on the shoreline, but i can't remember seeing anything about that in the patchnotes. When was it changed?

Also: are you considering changing the ability of people to backpedal in water just as fast as they swim forwards or is that working as intended?

Nothing was changed about swim speed and backpedaling is the same as the strafe speed bug when encumbered / low health: client side, nothing we can reasonably do about.

Thanks for the clear information about the backpedaling speed (and related low-health strafing).

But regarding swimspeed there really seems to have been a change (apparently unintentional) or i am going crazy and remembering it wrong.
In my memory it had been equal speed as land-travel before, there were even multiple threads (and a current one) discussing a possible change of the status-quo that water-travel is just as fast as land-travel.
Swim-speed was slower yesterday than on-shore speed. Very slightly, but clearly noticeable when my grouppartner ran on-shore and i swam parallel to him. But we didn't pay much attention to it, and both were pretty tired, i am not claiming to be 100% sure. I'll do a better test and document it if waterspeed is supposed to be just as fast as landspeed.

What is the status-quo supposed to be? Slower swimspeed or equal speeds both in water and on land?

I think it's 90% speed in water and has been since NF came out.
