Does attack from behind enemy player do more damage ?

If I cast or mele onto an enemy player from the side or behind....will that do more damage than a frontal attack ?

Ordinary attacks no, but rear and side positional styles do much better damage than anytime styles. Follow-ups to positionals also do more damage than follow-ups to anytime styles.

...plus the fact that rear attacks cannot be blocked, parried and (in most cases) evaded helps when your goal is to kill your opponent.
