QoL Raid Loot Command

Loot distribution for raids take an excruciatingly long time to process. Add a command to randomly distribute loot to value under x that would be sent to their bag. /bg loot distribute 700 1 or something along those lines. Each member that rolled below 700 (# set by BG leader) on the random 1000 record would be given remaining loot based on descending order of the roll. The 1 or maybe 2 value could be the order in which loot is further distributed after the list has been completed. 1 = revert to top of order and 2=begin again from bottom of order going back up. I’ve been to multiple raids and it is painstakingly slow as the BG leader has to go one by one when a lot of people leave instead of waiting for scraps. This would free up people to xp/farm/rvr/etc.

You can always just choose to leave.
I don't think anyone wants to be assigned a random piece of loot. I know I don't.

Why would anyone be okay with being given a random piece of loot after 1 to 3 hours of raiding?

Just posting something I’ve heard raid leaders mention. Spending 45 minutes to hand out the remaining sub 40 utility pieces and tinder boxes kinda sucks. Obviously the top tier items would still be selected one at a time but the group could agree to random off the trash to the lower rolls.

How is randomly assigning loot any different than /random 1000 and then selecting loot. It may feel like you have more control getting to select your item but statistically it wouldn't be much different.

I think all loot should be randomly distributed no matter what the utility.

You could select loot all you want and then you set the threshhold with a command to distribute the junk instead of spending another 30 mins divying it up. I’m confused as to why you think this means random every single piece of loot, it doesnt.

I understand that. What I'm saying is I think this is a good idea but I think you should just get rid of the loot selecting process all together. Would save a ton of time and isn't really any different than having everyone do /random and then choose.

That being said, I don't plan on doing any more raids. So I really couldn't care less.

Loot distribution is tedious and boring...
i know of several people who didn't even roll anymore because it took so much time compared to the raid itself (back when raids where still daily and fast)

At least back then the main complaint from the raidleader(s) i talked to was the lootdistribution. It is the point where most drama is created, it takes really long and is a big hassle for the raidleader. Having an easier system might even encourage more people to just start/lead a raid

ROG loot below 60 utility should not be passed out. It should be automatically turned into cash and kept by raid leader.

That's exactly how the loot chest works... except the last part.
Any ROG below 60 (or 55? eh...) is sold automatically for its vendor value and added to the BG coin.

Named items, so specific drops from a specific boss, do not fall under this rule (regardless of utility value) as they may have value to some as part of a template.

Compared to other or the original Mythic system, loot distribution seems fine to me on Phoenix.
