How well are the received in pve and rvr? What is typical role?

It's a really hard, and not very strong, class to play.
You need to juggle 11+ melee styles, insta dd's, auras, and not break cc using your auras.

You have the worst dps, and the best dps in the game for a "tank", all down to if your opponent has purge up or down, and/or falls for the "numb trick".
It has no speed, fairly low hp's, but has the best zerg busting RA in the game.

It's a class I think most would hate 90% of the time, and love 10% of the time.

I wouldnt be so negative about reaver, i love mine. But consider: 30 pts twf, 22 det9, 2 pts for tireless+ blaba. It s 6l4. 7l4 with purge 2.
You need a lot of rps, i m rr9+ and still have many ras i miss and i cant afford, i need rr 11+

On a related note, do you know if TWF is affected by any of the usual spell damage modifiers? Acuity, MoM, wild power...?

What i know is RA damages cant change in pvp with buffs resist etc.... Twf is always 250 dmg on players, dmg changes on pets

50 flex 42 shield 36 soulrending 21 slash 10 parry. This is the best spec for group. you can switch your weapon to a slash weap and can side snare for peels.

The best thing to do on reaver is practice your run through levi, or getting your side styles off. Your anytime style is super weak so if you practice running thru your opponent and facing them while hitting levi. You will get your backstyle off.

hib - 10 blades, 14 sec side snare
mids - 12 hammer, 15 sec side snare.

they are all the same basically lol. 21 slash is a must for reaver to peel with

Det does not effect mele snares, or stuns. Only spells. I believe stoicism is the same but not 100% sure.

Side Slash is 12s, .60 GR and has no to-hit at level 21 with no follow-up
Frost Hammer is 15s, .69 GR and +10 to-hit at level 12
Glowing Blade is 14s, .65 GR and +10 to-hit at level 10

Reaver is a great anti-assassin class and there are PLENTY of them to fight. Can be really fun to run solo/small man or in a zerg with TWF/auras. Less desirable in 8v8 for sure.

Would we want to get Aug Str and Dex as well as MoM to increase style proc damage? I was thinking of getting those with purge and twf ultimately.

Thanks. I read on a post in 2015 or so that with high Dex and str and MoM they were hitting 400-500 lifetap for the side style. Not sure if that is true for this server since this post was many years after 1.65. is it that TWF is more valuable?
