Name change with Race Respec - Phoenix Freeshard

Could we have the ability to change a toons name with a race respec? Sometimes the toon name doesnt fit with the new race.

Eh... I don't really want people changing their names. BUT I did one day see a BD with the name Vxr. I would have been willing to buy them a respec if I could get the name, as that was my ranger's name on Mordred. RIP

For example, I have a valkyn warrior named Snugglepuppy... and a troll skald named Rockfist...it would be nice if I changed their races that I would be able to come up with a different name, as the names were tied to their races.

Yeah, they have said there will be no name changes unless it is for a naming violation.

I get what your saying and I sympathize with you, but names are more than just a cosmetic feature. People eventually know who you are and you know who they are. It would be an easy way to refresh your reputation. While maybe not important to everyone, I am sure there are plenty that it is important to. Even in your home realm, you can be known as an asshole and then just change your name.

Maybe limit it to sub rank 5 and it have it be approved by a GM were the name is based on a race like in your situation, but I still prefer not to have that feature. If it was up to me, I would prefer not to have race-respec although selling them is my best source of income.

Disagree. It would be too easy for shitheads to act like shitheads and then change their name to avoid consequences within the community. This would also play havoc with /ignore lists.
