Rangers Defense OP? - Phoenix Freeshard

Its my understanding that they do not PD, yet I'm hitting them for 50-90dmg MAX. I fought one ranger and thought it was probably lag dmg or something, but then I found another and then killed one who I found afk. Surprising it took what seemed like 20 hits to kill him even with Viper5 running. How is their def so high? They stack AF buffs or something? Literally my dmg towards them is looking like 78 (-24) , 105 (-22) , 87 (-18). I don't feel that a stealth class such as them should have this kind of Defense on top of same level of stealth detection, on top of access to IP. Not to mention decent dmg as well as access to range dmg when deemed necessary.

Has anyone else experienced this type of dmg?

Their armor is slash resistant, so you're looking at 36% resists if you're a slash user.

On top of being slash resistant, they also have access to MoArcane which can further improve their buffs.

But your damage is on par with what my SB hits a NS for really. Maybe a bit less due to the absorb difference. I hit a NS for around 88-95 with garrote (while debuffed). That's with comp weapon and 44 CS. Since you're not debuffed by a ranger, (unless sword proc) your dmg in the 105 range seems normal. I'm assuming the 78 they had high MoArcane. Or u were str/con debuffed. Or both.

Interesting, High RR ones seem to be the toughest thing to 1v1 really. They feel like fighting a stealth BM who has tank def lol.

They are beasts. I run around with my brothers ranger with my NS when we play hib and he tears through assasins, especially SB's.
