Just curious if I missed something.... Tonight is my first night stealther hunting on my SB just hit RR4. I find that there is a lot of insta vanishing if PAed or just jumping off bridges if they don't land PA and a lot of running from 1vs1 in general. Seen this from a few different RR6 shades who would most likely destroy me. Am I missing something or the fact that 10 times to night I have had higher RR toons run from a 1vs1 a normal thing?

Yeah many will only fight you if they have strength of numbers.
So keep your stealthlore pots ready.
There will even be people vanishing away when they outnumber you. Finding and finishing them before their friends zerg you down is always refreshing.
Btw this is not tied to any realm, have seen this behavior everywhere.

- Dont go to Beno/Bled/DC, Bridge or Dock... if you're not in a group (or dont have purge and vanish up)
- Think about pathways, less busy traffic areas, and be patient.

here is my tip.
Ask desperately for dmg add and bladeturn to dark runnies everytime before you start your journey.
Just as typical Infils get dmg add and haste buff from theurgs.
Yesterday, a RR9 slash infil was camping bled dock for hours farming SB/hunters and he was always with dmg add and i assume haste buff too.
That's the easiest way to farm rps, son!

I only used it after a few times and then respected out of it after the 5th time I had some one used in a 1vs1 cause they didn't have the upper hand. I never want that thought to pop in my mind. If I get PAed that's on me and I deserver to lose as I got out played.

Champs can, bds can if they kite well.
Straight up assassin fights can get close and they can win 1v1 if purge is not up or specced. The secret is to do massive damage while pet is stunned during CD. viper helps too. Most times I’ve lost was 2v1 though. Double PA hurts.
But that also depends on spec - super tanky necros can eat pas. More caster focused will do more damage but take less.

Champ is a tough nut to crack for sure. BD's can't tell, haven't fought my buddy Shelena yet, the ones I did even dropped twf5 and they exploded in 4-5 nukes, other casters don't stand a chance (yes even SM sending pet to get the stuns off), melee don't really stand a chance (sure they can kite, but that ain't getting them anywhere in killing the pet), sins can be tough till you're RR5+, after that np, band of 5+ archers assisting can be tough.

I specced out of it too. It's nice when the Zerg runs up but most people have pots now so even if you vanish someone is bound to pop one and find you.
A different question here. I respecced to 50 comp stealth, and I was perffed like 3 different times by the rr9 stealther at bled docks. Is there a radius change on how far away you can see someone as an SB? I've never been perfed so many times in one night. I mean I'm not good by any means but I'm not that bad. My partner who runs 51 comp stealth says he saw the guys minst partner every time long before I was hit. I can blame it on lag but it was really unusual.

Dear sir, I solo until friends log on, then we run small, I join BG as well because it's fun, I made like 230k yesterday split in solo, duo, small, 8m and BG action
Had my share of 1vsX fights and 1v1, it's not rocket science what a necro can or can't do vs other classes, RNG is rng and stuff can go either way in close matchups, but in rest I wouldn't fight my necro most of the time 1v1 ^^PS: what's your necro name in game, wanted to reach out to you for some questions, cheers <3

Funny to see thing's haven't changed here. The mindset of a lot of people playing assassins on this server really turned me off from playing. Could not count how many times I had someone vanish in a 1v1. Was truly baffling. I blame their parents.

With vendo, IP, and purge up I'm more inclined to believe you are full of it rather than the zerker lol. I've seen vendo zerks 3 shot assasins. But hey, next time take a video. Would like to see how that plays out again. Also, who vanishes to reopen on a target, especially at a bridge? The likelyhood of him running away to regen and/or other adds coming out is so high I cant think anyone seeing this as a viable strat.
Seems far more likely you were getting your ass handed to you, vanished, saw him getting attacked and decided to re-engage.

Vanish is definitely a counter to other active RA’s. Just like SoS is in a 1v1. Problem is, it is not always useful that way.
There are classes where you can counter their abilities with vanish and come right back when the disarm is gone. Zerkers are one of those.
On mercs for example that tactic does not work.
You attack > he slams > you purge > he pulls dirty tricks. Now you could vanish to counter DT because you are dead if you don't but if you come back after the disarm you have no purge and he'll just kill you with the slam instead.

Some more examples: MoC on a caster (worst case caster with lifetap), purgeing Necro, IP on friar or warden
