Used to see tons of BDs in rvr because they're bd pets were good. Now both mage spec and split spec pets are pretty bad. What happened and why?

They nerfed them into the ground (they can be 2-shot by any caster) early on in the life of the server.

You still see lots of BDs because it’s hands down the best caster for the current game setting.
They are first in line of casters to see a nerf, or last to see a buff.

You see a lot of them because of Twf and Maelstrom. I know enough rr5+ bds that have only these 2 ra`s which think they`re very skilled.
Maybe the way to go since the meta of this server changed into zergfest.
