What ever happened to decency and respect?

I was just in EV helping a guildie get some xp. We were both killed by another duo. I am not complaining about the death. Risk vs reward of pve in that zone I understand. What I find the most annoying is the rude emotes that others use after they have killed you. Does it make you feel better and prove you are a better, more powerful player to rofl or wave away the stench? Can we just kill each other with respect and leave the childish emotes for other times?

Wow, you must have been living under a rock or something.
It took me a good 10 years to come to terms with the varying degrees of toxicity and I've either found ways to bypass it or let it slide off me (for the most part) for the last ten or so years

? that was a mature comment really, like tbh anyone that has played more than a month of DAoC knows what kind of bellends play, if they haven't changed in 20 years they're not going to now. So yeah, ignore it and move on

99.9% of the time I do ignore the childish and rude antics of others. Today I was just in a mood to share my experience knowing that there are many others how feel the same way.

In game is no different from this very forum. The player base emotes after kills in game just like they come to this forum and post things like “can I have your stuff”.

Every day I’m more convinced that the problems with DAoC are more the fault of the players than of the developers.

Since NF I'm killing lvlers all the time (aka staying underground in DF

), but I'm surely not emote spamming.
I get emote spammed in there though.. being there killing people might be a reason?

respect went out the window when the server allowed lvl 1-50 to zerg the frontiers to grasp that every 15 min rvr task completion. Ppl lost there gawd damn mind and since feel the need to jump anything that moves regardless of mutual respect. However, since NF i have found people are respecting each other's fights a bit more than OF. I guess its not because we are in a huge cluster F at a mile gate....
