NF Balance - Reduce Water Travel Speed

With the recent addition of NF and 100% travel speed, PHX has created an "in-balance" for Caster Groups. Please limit the travel speed to 70% or install a similar penalty that would restore balance.

I know, I know, L2P.

While I agree that caster groups are completely broken on this server, what does this accomplish? They move at 70% movement, but so do the people trying to chase them as they extend. Nothing changes.

It allows them to engage *FROM* the water. At the point of impact, its far harder to click a horizontal target then a vertical one.

Agreed water shouldn't be a total non-obstacle. Why even have the bridges if everyone can glide through the water at Mach 6? It should at least be some sort of inconvenience to not utilize the bridges.

Exactly. Bridges are designed to be a choke point. If you want to avoid it you have to choose take the speed reduction.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of it from that angle.

Not only is the forward movement in water a problem, you can also move backwards at the same speed or at run speed, which opens water up to the "run backwards and cast/shoot" exploit which is still on live. I've already made a bug report about this, which means it's been soundly ignored.
