I will play Phoenix no matter what frontier we get

NF won , I prefer OF but also accept the vote and any changes.

All of those "threatening" to quit as if they are paying $15 monthly remember this is a FREE server with a really good Dev team and really nice QOL changes , what else is out there ? I guess you can go back to Uthgard and if that's the case then so be it , maybe both servers will survive with 2 different population.

All I'm saying is that we simply have the option to play for free or leave , the server will miss those that really quit at first but then it will stabilize. Phoenix will be fine.

Oh if anyone want to try a similar game to DAOC there is a free Warhammer Online server named Return of Reckoning, both are Mythic games and I play them both.

Jokes aside... I already had to deactivate the /advice channel because of the nonstop spam by pro-of people telling me that the server will die now. Glad to see someone act halfway sane

btw Warhammer is a really fun game. I actually thought about playing it again when I was really salty about daoc, but atm I am here.

Yeah man I decided not to flame or be rude to anyone deciding they don't want to continue playing in this great server, this is their choice and their right.

But let me also bring up a similar situation that happened in the Warhammer free server (I played there first before coming to DAOC) there was a situation where devs completely changed most of the classes , not a minor change but effectively changed how many classes originally were intended to be played , that was so drastic more so than a map or frontier, many threatened to quit ...today that server still has a stable 700-1000 people everyday.

So yeah at first you might see a small drop and then after few months things will stabilize.

The other option is literally a million other things you can do with your time. I'm fine accepting that no version of DaoC exists that's enjoyable for me, I'll find some other form of entertainment.

It's not a threat. You need a healthy population for a server to survive, and all I'm saying is that if the "action" is as bad as the first week of NF was, I'm not staying. I want 5-10m between fights tops. That's just me and a few hundred other people though, take it for what you will.

If someone is willing to quit due to the change then I'm guessing they will just do without DAoC or maybe play Alteri instead.

I mean Uthgard isn't a viable alternative, if changes to a server annoys someone that much then they are well within their rights to leave.

No point making threads like this, slagging people off won't help anything.

Who suffers when players quit? Not the player... they are over it. It's the people who remain that suffer due to lower pop.

Most destruction classes have been nerfed into the ground, where as order classes have been left alone. Why I quit playing there months ago.

Yes, I appreciate their effort on making one realm far better than the other, so they dominate the game all day everyday.

We had 5 months of OF and 1 week of NF. Think maybe ppl got bored and wanted something new? It's like asking someone to watch a movie they like for the 20th time or watching a different one they've seen 2 times.

What ? If you knew War you understood that both realms take their turns dominating for periods of time hardly ever have the two sides ever been neck to neck , is why DAOC is an overall better game than War (even though i love both games) because we have 3 factions here vs 2 in War but trust me when I came over to daoc it was Destro close to 60%/40% ick... it was bad we would form a warband or 2 only to get rolled over by 200 + destro.

The devs don't pick sides , they gutted the White Lion so if they were so pro Order why would they nerf the only class that inflicts fear and brings tears to destro players ? Both sides are as balanced as they ever been devs there like the devs here are committed to making their respective games better than their live counterparts.

wasn't there huge drama with one dev laying open that another had secretly changed loads of stuff in the background without documenting it regarding classbalance? and then the dev that went public with that information got crucified and the one who made the custom changes for himself got excused and protected? or was that on a different warhammer freeshard?
