Perma Muted on Discord - Phoenix Freeshard

Hello,

It appears I have been perma muted on discord. I've attached the conversation.

While I realize I am in the wrong and apologize, I feel like a perma mute on discord is a bit harsh. I should not have called out the devs in frustration of the GMs lack of response and acknowledgment of the issue. I'll try and not let my emotion get the better of me in the future.

Permaban after 1 misconduct is kinda abuse of power in my opinion.

Plus I don't think you said anything deserving a perma ban. Allowing people to collect 1m RP just by suiciding and then not doing anything against it, is just objectively stupid. You should have worded it nicer, but just reacting with a permaban to this seems kinda over the top for me.

Devs, please don't ban me

Seems like a good lesson for the general population on how to respect people doing you a favor (building and running this server).

The more that learn this lesson the better off the server is.

Just because you are behind your keyboard does not mean you can act like an all mighty entitled god-child.

I would hardly say I was acting like an "all mighty entitled god-child". I made one poor choice of a comment about something that was patched not even 8 hours later.

You could make an argument what you said to me right now was more of an attack on someone than what I said and deserves and equal punishment.

You could make that argument, it would not be a very strong argument however so I would not expect punishment to follow.

You were yelling on discord calling the dev's stupid for their choices in a game they have altered, maintained and paid for. You are not new here and have seen the devs attacked daily by people on discord and the forums, and they have rightfully so had enough.

There was no yelling. I had already dropped the convo and moved on before the mute even came. And I didn't call the devs stupid, I was saying it was stupid after 5 days to overlook that and not make a change. They made the adjustment a couple hours later.

And you're absolutely correct, people have been on discord and the forms attacking the devs much more strongly than I have and have gone scathe free.

So let me get this straight, you get banned in Discord so you come to the Forum and complain about getting banned and start a fight again about why you got banned??

It seems to me someone's still making poor choices.

I made a poor choice with a character name. It was brought to my attention and changed accordingly. You can bet that I think twice every time I name a new character.

I'm not trying to start a fight. All I'm doing is defending myself.

As I said, I think a perma mute is a little over the top. I don't think that is very far-fetched considering other things people have said.

I guess you're lucky you got a second chance. Maybe you would be a little upset if you didn't.

If you think your ban was not correct, feel free to contact me on discord via DM or here via DM. Opening a thread and calling the staff out doesnt help at all.

And btw, you just got muted on discord which will be removed after some time. Just take your time and try to understand why you got muted. Maybe that will prevent you from getting muted again.
