NF NPC Archers

their dmg is just too high .... i get hit for 360ish its insane! thats something for relic keeps but not normal ones
plz cut is to maybe 100 or something

Keeps are supposed to be a challenge for groups, don't get in range if you don't have heals.

ah ok so when you come too close for 2 seconds you have to instantly die like on a porter keep? sry dude this is stupid and normal keepguards have never done so much dmg ... also tower gurd archers hit for that much

they also don't seem to have any kind of line of sight check.
They aggro and shoot through walls and will not give up until you get out of range.

Same thing happened in the Molvik event and I put up a thread back then. As you can see, nothing has happened regarding that problems

Seriously? When we were inside of a friendly tower with the gate shut we were still getting shot through walls by NPC Archers who aggroed and ran from the keep to just outside the tower.

Either tone down npc archer damage, or stop them from shooting through walls.

My thane doesn't care much, but it's a nightmare for healers right now.

Well i've got no problem with shooting through walls. But i stand at the inner door and was shot buy 2 archers and didn't even had time to heal myself. Got shot for 300 each. Which is insane combined with the speed the guards respawn.

1 grp plus guards can wipe 4 groups attempting a keep once inside inner door.


I'll vote of for that reason alone. This just isn't fun.

getting near a normal keep or even a tower is like getting near teleportkeeps, 3 archers can kill you with just one shot

I think that arrows piercing stones isn't RPG and break the atmosphere, feeling like a glitch. Then if is near impossible to fix i will cohabit with this and other things..

Is it like this on live too? I never played NF live so I have no clue if archers are also hitting you through walls on the official servers?

I walked into a tower and up to the lord that an allied group was just attacking. On the wall stood a single respawned and unaggroed orange archer. Well he aggroed on me apparently, the first arrow hit me for 400 damage on the stairway to first floor, the second on the way to second floor. The third i evaded, the next three sadly not. A heal pot did only delay the enevitable and I lay dead to the feet of the lord with 5 arrows stuck in my corpse that phased through the tower walls and nothing i could have done to prevent this other than staying away from the tower in the first place.

This is how every NF keep or tower encounter worked out for me so far, starting with the molvik event.

FIX IT PLEASE THIS CANNOT BE YOUR INTENTION! ! !

Guards should be hitting people for 50 out of keeps, not 350.


They should be a dangerous interrupt, not ending stealther's lives.

Not at all, on Inf on Live I can maybe die if I get aggro by say 10 guards and cant climb up a wall or get stealthed after attacking etc, but that's rare.
They kinda? shoot through walls, but not like it is here, and there its about 5% of your HP per archer that hits you. Here I had to use potion/legion/IP just to make it from top of tower that alb owned to keep that we owned, and still almost died.
Guards are definitely OP here but that's something I think they can spend time on if we decide to go with NF on the vote.

This is a thing that should have priority NOW when we are testing it. Keep raids are THE main feature of NF and if they want more vote pro NF they should fix that instantly
