Please make tradeskills per realm, not per character

If you have LGM fletching in Albion (let's say)... it should work on every character you have on Albion.

I'm not sure what the argument is for not doing this. Is it inconvenient? Yes. But that no longer matters.

Now that we have account vaults and coin exchanges, and porters/bindstones, we simply have to relog to use our tradeskills.

This means it's a QoL issue, not a balance issue.

I think it's a good idea- and you might start to see people actually crafting before endgame (which is kinda how crafting was originally intended to work on live, but due to the speed of leveling on Phoenix, might not be much of a reality).

I think it's a great suggestion. I leveled salvaging on 2 diff characters on most realms depending on what I wanted to farm, just to save the headache of having to swap my inventories around every time I wanted to Salvage. Of course...since the wombo combo of task nerfs, salvage/loot drop "fixes", the hard stance on the 12-hour timer, and the charge item changes it's been tough to justify continuing to play..but some QoL in a positive direction surely couldn't hurt, right?

Yeah,

The key here is to not transfer the skills outside of a realm. I think that's what keeps it fair.

You can make an argument for not doing this on a server where you can't transfer items/coins- but since you can transfer both on Phoenix, it makes sense.

The mechanic argument would be your apoc is centered around your modt used character while armorcrafting is probably a buffer or heavy tank to handle encumberance, whereas salvagers typically are tailors on a farming class

Sharing would be convenient, not fun
Just as sharing levels would be convenient, not fun
You're voiding out chunks of the game under the guise of QOL

Realm coin and crafters i see no harm in.
Im a salvager on all my 50`s. But i didnt do Sc on my farmer (wish so i could salvage jewelry in field too)

Realm ranks per realm? Excuse me? That's insanely OP. You can't just logout, train RAs and then log in to your brand new 50 RR12 infil. Doesn't work like that. You can with all tradeskills. There is literally nothing (except salvage) that you can't easily just relog and do for yourself.

Levels per realm? Like you should only have to level once? Uhhh, you don't understand the argument.

I'd even be FINE with all tradeskills except salvage being account-wide (if you're really being a stickler- but I feel like it's QoL anyways because I can just put stuff in my account vault, house vault, or guild vault- transfer it over, salvage it, put the coin in vault and transfer back).

You'd have an argument if:

1) Only certain classes can learn certain trades.
2) There wasn't a free exchange of goods between the same account.
3) It was in any way difficult to change these goods (login timer, cost for purchasing coin token transfer, etc).

Sharing is convenient and fun- as everyone that's levelled tradeskills knows. When you level your character, almost everything you do is affected by that level. Same as when you gain realm ranks. When you level tradeskills- it's only in effect WHILE crafting. Seeing as how they made crafting INSANELY easier than it used to be (no more auto-clickers needed).

There's no chunk of game voided out as QoL. The ONLY thing that adds utility (which is what you seem to be objecting to) is salvage.

My solution to that: Offer the primary tradeskills across account, while secondary tradeskills still must be levelled on each character.

There now is literally nothing utility wise granted by having those tradeskills across your account. Pure QoL.

I was just thinking about this last night. Had a guildmate ask me to make a MP weapon for him. But I was on my Warrior waiting for task to end and my main crafter is my Hunter. Was thinking I wish I could of crafted while I waited for task.

But also my hunter was parked at a farm spot so I had to port back to make the weapon.

I think that causes a problem with making a second salvaging toon. You use the primaries to level the secondaries, so if the primaries are already leveled you can't level the secondaries in another realm or on another toon. I've tried leveling the secondaries using their own recipes and it never goes up, even when it could based on the primary caps.

You're correct.

Alright, scrap that suggestion to axe secondary skills.

All skills, primary and secondary across all chars on a realm. Looks like we get salvage, too.

i like this idea.. i want to be able to salvage on other toons and to not have to level up anotehr tailor would be quite appreciated

I don't think anyone thinks the devs aren't listening, they are and do act most of the time, 99% of what they do is spot on imo.

That doesn't mean we can't disagree with some of the changes though, or want further changes
