Just got my savage to lvl 36 and im starting to unlock more combat styles/chain styles. what are the main melee styles i should be using in RvR? Best anytime melee style, what are the mains chains to focus, etc.
Also what are some of the first RA's i should pick up?
Its the taunt style as ur anytime. In reality you want to keep rolling side chain and rear chain depending on positioning. The side chain hits harder tho so try and do that.
For solo, as PvE grinding or something you use the after evade as Mainstyle with Taunt as Backupstyle. I use to start a fight with the evade buff style.... just low dmg, but a nice to have buff on 15% more evade. Less downtimes for HP regeneration and more dps to get the after evade style into. That worked well for grinding XP Loot. In Grps you set your Positionings. There, as always, the best one is the Sidestyle. The backstyle is nice dmg too, but its just a 2 second meleestun. If there is a better class in Grp who can make a longer stun, its not that worth.
For RvR its high priority to land the Sidestyle and the greatest follower on Earth with that very very strong Meleestun! If you have no chance to land it, because the target runs straight away, use your low stun from that backstyle. The 2 seconds are useful to stay in burst your Enemie. And like said above, in RvR your backupstyle is the taunt. Its decent dmg and low/ok endu cost...
After Det 9 I would just focus on MOPain 9 and then start going into things like Aug Strength and Dex depending on your race. I don't personally see the actives that Savages get as much of a benefit just focus on damage RA's. You could also once your strength and dex are close to the same stat wise get AoMagic just to be tankier.

i went in that order due to defenses first then head into MoPain, reason i went AoM before MoPain is because you will face a lot of caster groups and will be pushed into their faces.... so the more defense against magic the better IMO!
