My point is that drop rate for regular loot that cannot be salvaged does not matter at all as these drops are very bad compared to ROG jewelry and are usually vendored anyway because they are not template worthy.
If you insist on using sub par gear for whatever reason that's your problem, not something the devs should fix.
Sorry to hear you got bad luck on ROG drops. We used to farm malm lair with challenge mode on for good drop rate or giants in the sw corner of raumarik, might try that. But then again I usually have at least two or three 50+ ROG jewelry if i farm random red mobs on my necro for 30 minutes so it shouldn't really matter what kind of mobs you farm.
I understand your pov, Estat, i also use to farm DR lair Executioners solo (summoner sm) and usually always come back with 1-2 decent rogs + few cloaks/belts/rings and for sure the usual loot table drops which i salvage on spot, but today was pure bs : logged in 10h30AM, pulled for an hour till my guildie came online (he logged on spot yesterday) and he joined me for like 2h then had to go to work, so i continued alone till 6h30PM around. I stopped when my inventory was full till last slot, at that point i was by 46/73 (task) i guess. I got maybe 8 slots jewellery, all under 50 util except one sneak ring. Really disappointing day. Now, regarding that item, it simply matches perfectly the sc i planned for him and i didn't expect it to be a problem as 1)this item dropped pretty often before 2)was available for 180g-200g till few days ago. The fact that they're all now by 500+ is a sign that this drop nerf was a bad idea. I already noticed too that there are not much TG/DR stuff for sale anymore in hz too, another hint. I'm not the only one complaining about this, i hear it all day long from guildies, pals, and sometimes in grp/chats.
Now, thanks for the tips tho, but Giants in SW corner of Rauma ? or do u mean the big Jotuns from SW corner of the swamp, over the hagbuis camp ? I usually get my high rogs from HLs for my part. It's more to help my newbies getting geared asap, and i don't mind investing time to farm something, but not wasting my time for crap like today. =( Considering that Executioners are red/purple to 50, that summoner got the ass card amongst all focus shield classes with the last nerf (he only had focus + buffs, no casts only baseline dd) and can now only handle 1 at a time, as 2 are stress pure) it's pretty annoying to add on top this droprate thing now. Anyway, i'll have to buy the cloak or modify the temp if i find another decent rog cloak to replace it. PS : u don't wanna know how much more mana it costs now with summoner, prob u will never have with a necro. ;-)
PPS : this cloak IS template worthy btw. 6% cold/crush/heat/slash 50hps
