I understood penetrating arrow would affect non self-casted bubble, like that from a runie or warden. A ranger penetrated my self-casted bubble with the first shot. I am 28, he was 42.

Is the attacker higher than the defender, he gets certain bonuses - including a chance to penetrate bladeturn effects.

Is this new? I don't believe self-bladeturns never got penetrated by Penetrating Arrow historically.

I read in one archer thread, Longshot RA could penetrate the self cast bubble.

Longshot and Volley always penetrated self-bt with old archery.

Penetrate: YES, Remove bubble: NO, only assasin opener should be able to penetrate AND remove bubble, so gamemechanic here is wrong.

A just penetrated but not removed bubble means, that on a 50% chance to penetrate arrows later shots have still a chance to be stopped from bubble.

penetrate + Remove bubble from arrows is a 1.8x thing.....

Penetrate+remove bubble with critshot is a 1.8x thing. I think Longshot always penetrated and removed the BT, but I could be wrong since SI is 15 years ago and we cannot test it anymore. In general archers on this server are a clusterfuck of inconsistent implementations. For example in 1.65 setting you could be in stealth, cast your pet, restealth and send your pet to attack someone and watch them fight. It has always been like this. Here it unstealthes the archer, but funnily on charmed pets it works like it should. Pets dehiding the archer came with the improved pets that had procs, styles etc.

Archers (and melee toons, too I'm pretty sure) with higher level than their targets ALWAYS had a chance to penetrate self cast bubbles. A lvl 42 Archer will nearly always penetrate a lvl 28 bubble... the chance decreases as the levels become nearer each other, with a 0% chance to penetrate at equal level.

Seriously, do you think a lvl 50 Archer or Tank shouldn't be able to penetrate a lvl 19 bubble?
