pets keep chasing after stealth

in RvR
being a ranger running away from bonedancer, fire speed, being far far away from pets, restealth, get chased down from pets, ???, no profit

first time i experiance this, did it got changed for a reason?

Yeah seems my minstrels pet will occasionally chase down and destealth opponents. Assuming I have set it to attack prior to enemy entering stealth.

Obviously (or not) at 1.65 I believe this was the way it was.

Let’s be hopeful and call it a feature... not a bug! I’m loving it! Totally working as intended! 😂

Yes and that behavior is fixed here so it is a bug if it happens

My hunter's pet destealthing the hunter when it attacks someone, which was introduced with stronger pets and never existed in SI? Fixed!
My hunter's pet not being able to destealth others like it always did in SI? Fixed!
My hunter having 125 lower stealth detection range than assassins and not being able to spec into MOS which makes it basically impossible to not get farmed by assassins? Just a fix!

Truly love all those fixes they put into the game to keep assassins in check.

You call your Hunter Snipeymcgimp but want to be taken seriously. Ok i will try
PD on a classic server without elemental weapons is a bad idea. Not just on archers, on casters as well. Have seen that on uthgard 1 (in combination with stealth detect MoS that you also want, there meele rangers shredded everything that walked by)
You want true sight? Do you want see hidden as well?
Pet should not destealth the Hunter when it damages someone. Is that an intentional change?
Hunter pets attack stealthers near it. Happened to me some days ago
Assas having a higher detection against non detect hidden classes is not a fix, it is class design and has always been intentional. I would not mind that being custom changed here very much if it is such a great deal for archers.
As for MoS i am happy that we don't have the detection crap here as that would mostly help the stealth zerg

Why are Archers the only class that got PD removed on phoenix? Casters including bonedancers get it, but the hunter is destined to be free RPs to assassins. We are already the weakest archetype here except Shar Blade Rangers. Before you had melee rangers murdering everyone, now you have assassins murdering anyone. I want balance, not one or the other. Either make assassins lose fights if they miss PA and you open the fight or give archers ways to avoid assassins and their PA. At the moment assassins are always at an advantage (except when you are a rr6+ shar blade ranger with purge, ip, legion heal and heal pot up). They are given the tools to force close encounters with Archers. Assassins are already at an advantage when the fight starts in melee, no point in making it easy mode for them and totally unavoidable for hunters.

No, because See Hidden was a stupidly retarded RA. It allowed you to see Archers and Minstrels at clipping range, basically making their stealth completely useless. You could use stealth to get somewhere and when your camo was down after the first fight you were 100% destined to get PAed by assassins. True sight was 1 minute and 30 minute cooldown. I just want to display how they left the good assassin RAs in (viper, vanish etc) and stripped the hunter of all his good and popular RAs.

I made a bugreport. Uthred closed it without even giving me feedback clearly showing his bias.

My pet has not attacked a single stealther yet. Not when I send them after them and they stealthed and not when I ran over a stealthers.

Well people are already stealth zerging. 90% of my fights vs stealthers are 1v3-5. At least I could have revenge on them every 30 minutes and invite my guildmates to farm some stealthzerging groups after I destealthed them with quick shot.

To be honest..I don't think the stealth game back then was optimal and we shouldn't reintroduce everything

its classic but got changed here, still sometimes pet chase down stealthers
