Different question about house rent

If my rent runs out how long do I have until my house disappears? Does it go away the instant it tries to take rent out of my lockbox and does not find enough or does it put up a condemned sign for a period of time?

afaik it's gone...

it warns you if there is less than a week to pay, that'S your condemned phase

If you have a merchant up it will try to take the rent from his account.

If you have a merchant up it will try to take the rent from his account.

The use of "supposed" in the linked post does not exactly inspire confidence ;-). I had been getting the nagging messages about paying my rent on my Midgard cottage since Friday, today I logged in to Midgard to pay my rent, and wasted a played session to do so, just in case of problems despite having 2P and 187 Gold on my Midgard consignment merchant.

I was referring to the post by gruenesschaf in that thread, I have talked with people that have had their housing repossessed, usually after not being able to retrieve their house / vault items, and all of them stated that they had money on the consignment merchant before they stopped playing for a while. So possibly they are misremembering or possibly there is an issue.
