Is the molvik event a trial for NF?

Not trying to stir the pot here....But there has been a lot of suggestions to switch to NF due to the excessive shift of fighting exclusively in emain. There is also a problem with choke points in old frontier, although I rather enjoy these in place.

That being said...

In beta we had that zerg-ball game that ended up being a test for the implementation of relic code. Would it be to much of a stretch to think that the molvik event having towers etc be a test for the implementation of NF zones?

Its obvious that in the last round of updates from live, they directly did some tinkering to our Old Frontier zones. They obviously made the mid portal keep in alb land a solid wall with the image of a door, which is why it wouldn't open. They basically deliberately made it harder for Phoenix to compete as a freeshard against them, or at least make them have to work harder so that it could be pulled off.

This being pointed out, would it not be in our best interest to switch to a NF setting as a defense mechanism against LIVE altering our zones etc? This way if they want to mess with us in the same way again, they would also be doing it to their own zones as well.

I doubt it... they have stated it would take 6+ months to implement NF and have no immediate plans to look at that.

However I am very excited about this.

Really hope there are small man only zones like the other event.

I think we all agree that the zones Mythic created for ToA and beyond have a great and unique design.
While the server is 1.65 in it's core, we want to utilize those fancy zones from time to time.

Like the PvP-event in Atlantis a month ago, it's a temporary event to give you access to some more ground, see "new" hunting grounds and play different classes and styles during those events.
But yes, we are also testing new frontiers keeps with it.

Thank you for your response! I understand this would be a process that takes time. But it had myself and another guildy very curious. Its no secret that when you guys/gals tinker with code you provide some kind of event that gives does two things: gives us a change and new fun but also allows you to monitor how the new code works. Again, I wasn't trying to beg or plead for something here and I purely asked out of curiosity. So I sincerely appreciate your professional and well worded response. TY
