Should resolve itself shortly. Currently working on / preparing some ddos mitigation which requires moving some things around.

This is a DNS issue for me. I can ping the 88.99.68.136 just fine but the Launcher uses patcher.playphoenix.online to resolve. This is where it fails.

I resolved this by editing my HOSTS file on my PC pointing 88.99.68.136 to patcher.playphoenix.online and the launcher now resolves..

Enjoy..

Thanks Gaudop.
Just to expand on that for people...

1. Windows Start > Find Notepad > Right Click Notepad > Run As Administrator.
2. File > Open > C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc > Change File Type to 'All Files' > Open 'hosts'
3. Copy this into your hosts file:
88.99.68.136 patcher.playphoenix.online
4. Save
5. Run the patcher you will now be able to get in.
You may still need to try to launch a few times to get past the 95% issue.

IMPORTANT: Come back and remove this after the issues are resolved.

This has been unfixed and not working for over 14 hours......... You posted 2 hours ago and still having same issue.

Any idea on what's going on?

Sorry not very computer savvy so not seeing how you actually get to I can find the host file, but no luck in seeing where or how to change the file type to all files. I usually don't have trouble with these things just not seeing what I'm supposed to I guess.

Players, If you haven't read the numerous posts on the forum and on the phoenix discord they are under heavy DDOS which causes the LAG/LD etc.
DDOS mitigation is expensive and takes time to implement. As stated earlier, in order to get that mitigation in place some things have to be moved around and as such its no surprise the launcher is having issues.

As this is the case, rather than beat your head against a monitor and the launcher just take an evening or afternoon to yourself and stop spamming the forums and the phoenix discord. Give them time and you will have a server to play on again soon.

Coming here and blaming them and complaining about it not being fixed yet does not help the situation. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the prick behind the DDOS. Every time they have to step away from the process they are involved in to answer your repeated questions because you can't read for 5 mins takes them away from the mitigation process.

Chill out, go get some sunshine, go grab a beer with your friends and check back later!

The ddos took down the patcher a couple times intermittently, the other issue where it became unavailable for a lot more people was shortly before I posted and should be resolved since the post although as that was a dns issue it may or may not take a bit longer for some people before it propagates.

How do you change file type to all files?

Referencing Step2 on the lower right hand of that window the type starts out as Text Documents (*.txt). Click on that drop down and select All Files (*.*).
Then select your hosts file and continue following the remaining steps.
