They are all hybrid classes, so how do they compare? What are their strength and weakness. What are their roles in PVE and RVR? Which one is regarded as arguably the best or better hybrid class in DAoC game play?
Hope it isn't too bias inviting to ask this in Migard. BTW, I am leveling a Thane at its mid 30s.
I am not too well versed in all 3 classes, but if you're talking a 1v1 situation I think the champ comes out on top of the three. But they are all great at certain situations. The debuffs can be pretty wretched. Sure you can purge but any decent champ will wait for that and then slam you. Or vice versa. If he slams you and waits for purge, he will debuff. If he debuffs you he has a large advantage in 1v1 if you dont purge.
The thane works great overall in alot of situations but dont really shine in one specific avenue. They have a decent DD and some other toys to supplement them in a fight. Thanes biggest strength is catching a target from range and getting in a few nukes before they get into melee.
Reavers are decent solo, and they have alot of chants to help them in a fight. Basically they are an offensive paladin is the best way I can put it. Their bread and butter relies on their backside Levi attack. If they slam you and you dont have purge, you're as good as dead. Because if they switch to a fast 1h weapon for cap swing speed, youre being nuked for 200dmg a swing just from the Levi proc. Problem with this is that everyone knows it and it can be harder and harder to get it off. Without it a reaver is "ok". They are especially adept at killing assasins though.
