Bonedancer Level 48 Supression Pet (Healer): Completely Pointless?

I've been trying to figure out the best BD pet configs for farming PVE vs RVR. I'm stumped on something about the heal pets. From my testing, the pets summoned by the various spells heal as follows by spell level:
18: 67
24: 82
30: 112
36: 116
42: 125
48: 125

Note that the health regen buff is IDENTICAL for all levels, at 5 HP per tick. And the buffing pet's damage shield and attack speed buffs likewise don't vary by level.

If this was a caster pet (the darkness pets) I would say that the slightly higher level would help with resists, and for melee (e.g. the buffing pet, or bone army pets) it would help with pet damage. But given that healer pets don't deal with resists or MOB defense, what's the point of the level 48 suppression pet?

You can ask the same thing for Theurg ice pets.
The level 25, 32 and 40 pets all deal the same dmg ... the higher once just have some more hp. :/

.. but what ever xD .. we are fine with it ^^

Do the Theurgist pets at least have fewer resists as they go up as well?

Basically yea, go 47 supp if you go supp spec. But that's for the DD. The best healing you will get is a lvl 36 pet and 2 lvl 24s for 280hp total.

Now I understasnd why every Theurg has ice pets who hit like trucks + high level earth/wind pets.

Theurg ice pets (32+) have a lowered base resist rate.

BD heal pets... no clue actually.

Highest bd pets should heal for 81 per cast, so 125delv is to be too high.

Do you have a patch note stating that?

Also remember the pets used to cast while moving, had a faster cast time, and were uninterruptible except for CC. Supp BD's are caster survivors and heavily rely on their pets for either damage (dark spec) or healing (supp spec). Reducing healing for a BD pet from what they are now would pretty much make the supp spec useless. The best healing you can get is 280hp every 4 sec from 3 pets, and every 5 around 200hp give or take from your lifetap. When a melee can dish out 250+ dmg every 1.5-2s that isnt as much as it seems. The problem with any of that is if anything interrupts them, or your instant lifetap spell gets resisted, you dont have much recourse and 1 AoE mezz completely nullifies 70% of their healing ability.

So at 81hp, you can have two of those pets out. that's 162hp (since you can only have 2 of the high lvl healer pets). On top of that, you would have to reduce the delve value for all the other pets as well. In part it would completely negate the point of the entire spec line and you would never see another supp BD out in RvR or PvE because the tradeoff for healing vs damage would be a no brainer.

Before you throw in some numbers, you should do your math.

Heal pets heal between 7 and 17% of your HP per spell based on their lvl up to yours (ie the highest heal pets lvl heal better than the smaller ones). They also throw a buff regen of HP of 5 HP per tick.

Taken from Sheenas (Ex Teamlead Bonedancer) Bonedancer Guide.
Available here in english : https://www.uthgard.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=38851 (sry Phoenix Team, found no other source in english)

17% for the highest heal sup-pet at lets say 1000 BD-hitpoints, would be 170 (each healer-pet) and not 125.

This server is so heavily modificated, nearly nothing is like it was .....

Thanks, yes I have added my comment to a (misguided, IMHO, but open) bug report about healer pets. I like to check the forum before reporting bugs, in case there was something I hadn't been aware of.
