Assassin Ability

So i'm on a severe lack of sleep, so forgive me if I didn't think of some "obvious" problem with this. I'm just a bit loopy.

So i'm soloing with my infil alt, and i'm having real trouble dealing with using my CS line. While distract is great, it does nothing if they are clustered together. So here I am, picking off what I can without aggro (and still constantly getting aggro) while using distract to set up my kill when I thought of an ability. It works in the same way Distraction does, just a little better.

1. Attract- The assassin throws a rock into the distance to attract his target.

Basically, you set your ground target within a certain distance (I think 1500 units would be good). You click on the mob you want to attract and use the ability. The mob then RUNS to the location to check out what the commotion was. And bam, you now can pull mobs from clusters and not have to worry about aggro.

Restrictions

1. Any monster that is attached with a BaF, will bring them with him. This would be to keep from exploiting named mobs away from their BaF guards.
2. Unusable on mobs over level 50 to keep from exploiting any kind of raid/group mobs.
3. While grouped, this ability will BaF as if you had pulled the mob (so if you get 2 BaF during a pull, 2 mobs will follow him to that location)
3a. Or make it unusable in groups.

This ability would help out a great deal with soloing a stealther, and does not impact other players. While all assassins can pull a mob with range, assassins are unable to utilize their CS line, their bread and butter, in doing so. This will give assassins the ability to actually sit at camps and pull without worry of aggro if they wish to use their CS line.

Be gentle

What's wrong with using a Crossbow (for Infil), DD (for NS), or throwing axe/sword (for SB) to pull the mob?....

Edit: I must be lacking sleep because I missed the end part where you said not being able to utilize your CS skills Would be a fairly nice ability but not sure exactly what it would take to implement this.

You shouldn't be able to use your Perforate Artery or other positionals on every mob you want to fight. They are situational by design and I think creating an entire ability just so that you could pull mobs without putting you into combat (somthing no other class in the game has by the way) is a waste of developmental resources.

But isn't that like saying "this class has root but I dont" as an arguement? Sure it's the only ability of its kind, but a lot of classes have unique abilities, zerker has Vendo, merc has DT, BM has TW. The list goes on. I don't find it pertinent to single out a single classes ability, especially when that ability effects noone.

On top of that, we do already have an ability that suppliments our opening positional, Distraction. Unfortunately the way daoc is set up in PvE, the ability has very limited uses. But that doesn't change the fact that it messes with the mob to allow us to use our stealth positional which makes that arguement sort of moot.

Just get yourself an xbow, or find a different mob patch that's more suitable to CS killing

No patch level of DAoC ever has a stealth-castable-taunt-that-does-not-put-the-user-in-actual-combat-or-break-stealth. You can't PA every mob without consequence, that's just how it is, CS is pick your fight, not set up every fight to your advantage. Distraction is as far as that goes.

I am completely for this...and while your at it could my RM get a nuke that doesn't actually agro the mob or put me in combat? I'm not being greedy you could always make it do half damage to be fair =)
