Why was only one of three realm's XP methods nerfed?

Why is focus shield doing really mediocre damage now? This only nerfs Albion. Mid has aoe stun bomb groups and hib has the absolutely broken verdant animist. Let's not forget if something is done to nerf leveling it should have been done at launch not now when most people have a level 50.

yeah midgard is mostly uneffected because petpulling in midgard sucked and levelling there was harder all the time...
and what happened to necros that albion suddenly cannot level anymore? i thought that was your curse/saviour all along?

it was an adjustment because it was implemented far too strong, so instead of crying be happy that you could reap the benefits of it this long

Yeah, I really don't get all the rage that has been floating around since the focus shield dps was brought into line. Death Servant necro's have always been better than a focus cabalist outside of solo on Albion. Really the only thing this change drastically effects is the length of time/power cost to kill mobs if you're solo'ing on a focus shield toon, which in reality would effect the spirit master far more than the cabalist because most cabalists should be using the focus shield just to get a few dps ticks off on big mob pulls and kite dotting the mobs to death.

On phoenix a level 50 focus shield is doing the same as a level 30 on live. Even in Galladoria on live you could focus pull when ML9 is down and it would do respectable damage

You're right, Quick, but afaik they adjusted the fs to be as on live ? Maybe i mistake, idk. It's at least what i understood from Gruen's explanations. /shrug

If only you didn't have 2 of the best tank classes in the game to... you know... tank things.

You'd have a point if it took more than 25-30 hours to solo to 50...

Kinda what happens when you all want to play Sorcs.

You'd have a point if it took more than 25-30 hours to solo to 50...

Aren't the top 3 classes generally: Bonedancer, Skald and Healer with Animists/Clerics occasionally bumping in?

Necro isn't even in the top 10 now, and neither is Cab. Just your fotm Skalds and BDs with 120 and 112 on respectively.

Why did a question regarding a damage shield nerf have to change into a realm vs realm class population penis waving contest?

And on a secondary note, the damage that they are reduced to now is actually closer to the way it used to be on live back in the day. It didn't always hit like it does on live, that's more of a recent change to further speed up leveling to push people through what little grind is left on the dead live servers to squish them all into the near dead RvR zones.

Like using a rolling pin to squeeze the rest of the toothpaste out of a tube.
