Before you start reading, no, I'm NOT advocating for the implementation of any artifacts, master levels, or new stats.

TL;DR version: Unlock the ToA zone just like how it was back in the day, but have all the artifact/master level encounters give an appropriate amount of feathers/rogs dependent on the difficulty. Or, at the very least, create instanced dungeons like the recent Darkspire addition. Also add in more ToA respec skin gear, I want a chain mail Oceanus set.

Long version: For a little bit of context, I'm probably one of the youngest DAoC players that have played in the past 4 years or so, whether that's DAoC or Phoenix. I wasn't in school yet when the game had released, and I was playing it back then too. Since I was too young, I wasn't able to play at my future self's peak potential performance. I didn't miss out on running around old zones, exploring the lower level dungeons, running groups in Thidranki as an 8 year old. But what I did miss out on were all the old school raids, old frontiers, and in general the end game climate. Retail doesn't do this justice when I returned back in 2015 after many years of absence. Phoenix was the first time I ever did Tuscaran Glacier, the true dragon in Malmohus, Trollheim, Iarnvidiur's Lair, Avalon City, the worm and lords in DF, Summoner's Hall, and honestly, I didn't know Caer Sidi was a place until I leveled up some toons for it on here. I know PVE isn't generally accepted in the DAoC community, but Caer Sidi was probably the best experience I've had with DAoC PVE.

Now that my story is over, I still haven't lived through all of the encounters in ToA. I know people had dreaded ToA, but I'd argued that's more about the systems in the game. The long, grueling process of farming for the artifacts for the scrolls, encounter, and the single drop from it. The master levels and leveling up each master level rank (or however that worked). I still kinda wish I experienced that stuff if I had to be honest, even if it was completely necessary to compete in RVR. I would like to see the ToA zones unlocked, but using a Phoenix version of those zones. There will be no artifacts, no master levels, none of that bs. The mob levels, the mechanics of mobs, and everything would still be proper like before, and the artifact encounters (minus the lower level ones like Orion's Belt) would give feathers/rogs. The amount of feathers, rogs, and rog quality would also be dependent on such mob difficulty too, so the hardest encounters would give the best material.

Just some thoughts is all. I know people will shun this post, but it's worth a shot.

Probably not. Could it be released in 6 months? Far fetched.. but after a year? Two years? Three? The game will look very different by then.. ToA zones could be part of that.

If they're able to get Phoenix itself to run, I doubt this idea is too large.

Most of TOA content is underwater. Phoenix doesn't utilize TOA diving etc. Won't happen I'm afraid.

Maybe a change could be made for that specific zone, if that's possible.

if we're talking about ToA and it is possible (and i mean no underwater stuff because i hated that part).

Why not make it a pvp zone? i.e. go there and youve got everything a pvp server would have?

Id love to see that, but honestly, i think itd kill rvr.
