Pick my next 50! - Phoenix Freeshard

So time for a new 50 as I need a change. I curious of what you guys think the best solo Midgard toon is PvP wise. I don't care about getting killed by zerg and 8mans and such I just enjoy a good right with other solo'ers in the non task RvR zone. Money and feathers arnt a issue for template and ill run fully buffed. Mainly looking for something that wont die to every NS and inf and can hold there on aginst caster. Let me know your thoughts.

No SB or hunter not a fan of playing sneaks right now.

So I solo a lot on my BD and love it but wanna try something different. I have a 50 thane but never temped him. How does solo work? Slam and cast? It work pretty well I kinda scraped the idea as I thought it would be awful.

THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE!

...I'm not biased or anything.

Pros: Thanes can do it all.
• Guard/Intercept your squishies.
• Slam stun to protect your squishies/healers.
• DD/AoE at range, for respectable damage.
• Interrupt using insta-DD and insta-PBAoE.
• Back-style snare with Hammer.
• Slam -> 2H -> Conquer is always fun.
• Self STR/CON, Damage Add, and Energy Debuff melee proc.
• AOE HAMMERS! The best spell effect in the game.

Cons: Sadly.
• Low HP for a melee/magic hybrid. Lower than Shadowblades/Skalds.
• Melee damage is not super impressive, but like with her magic, respectable.
• Standard spec of 50 SC / 42 Shield / 39 Hammer does not allow you Conquer's follow up - Sledgehammer.
• Sometimes, sometimes, you just can't AoE Hammer. It's a sad moment, and you die a little inside.
• Can be a little troublesome to template, but I was able to do it, and I'm a template-scrub.

....but seriously, if you're going to run around solo, Skald is the best option. Nothing compares to Speed5+Permasprint for being able to pick and choose your fights.

SM is better than I thought for fighting people. I've had a few people sit in frustration. My pet intercepts a lot of damage.

And I'm not 50 yet.
