RR Wipe for everybody - Phoenix Freeshard

Devs please please figure out what you want this server to be, commit to it and then do a RR Wipe. Too many balance issues around the boosted OP characters (assassins-bd's-skalds etc).
Too many things that could have been figured out before now like archers being left in the dust. I realize you guys had to rush it out to take advantage of the resentment people had towards Uthgard and that makes sense...but...It feels like we are all flying by the seats of our pants not knowing whats gonna happen next.

I wish I would have known that certain characters were just gonna be ultra boosted here. I like fair gameplay and I really have high hopes for this server but it has become apparent that there seems to be some serious balance flaws. I kinda had the mindset that you guys were the ones who were gonna be doing balance tweaks to make things fair for everybody but as things go along you guys seem... I dunno... less communicative? . Uthgard had a OP character problem, it seems like this server does as well.

You Devs could really be doing more to make things more fair for everybody, I am really keeping my fingers crossed that something positive happens here (Please be the game devs that for once get it right this time). This server can be the holy grail of daoc and you guys have done some incredible stuff so far, getting 50 fast is amazing, getting good temped is nice here. It is 100% just the balance issues that are a turn off for me right now. Thanks for reading my venting, I do realyl like this server, please consider it constructive criticism.

wiping now would cause a huge population decline though, and i don't think most people agree with your assessment.

An RR wipe creates lots of unhappy players, for several different reasons. But what REALLY creates the problem is the loss of trust. If it happened once, it could happen again...why invest time now if they might wipe tomorrow? It might not be the "best way" to play games, but it is a fact that most people (me included) are at least partially reward driven. We play not only to play, but also to advance. To be proud of what we built up. Taking that away suddenly creates frustration.

Especially when you start thinking, hmm if i had known that i would have levelled twink xyz instead of joining the relicraid yesterday, etc...

It might seem small and petty when looking at it from the outside, but that's how most of the playerbase is wired

What is the ultra boost you are talking about? That some people invested x10 the time you did?
And why are archers left in the dust? I have yet to see a single chat log, all people do is rererequoting one guy who posted random numbers and then telling us it's the truth since everyone is talking about it.

I got 4 shot by a ranger last night. Hit me for 500 on crit, then 280+crits on the rest of the shots. The toughest opponent in the stealth world, would 100% be a well specced shar melee blade ranger with some RR.

IMO this has felt like the test that should have happened since RA patch target change right at the end of Beta. A few months in, and we're seeing as many updates to classes, RAs, and basic mechanics as one would expect to see in a Beta...

I doubt the staff are 100% happy with the overall scene here....greys infesting RvR, dead BGs, overall farming atmosphere instead of realm-war...

I hope once things are ironed out, and the staff is happier with the server, they'll consider a wipe, and call 2019 Beta 2.0.

That would be to far for a lot to take but if you took away all task RPs for players past RR5. So you can get RPs until RR5 then only killing and keep takes will get RPs. NOt to far but still have good RR. There will probably still be RR7+ out there.

I disagree with everything you said about wiping. If there was a thumbs down button I would have clicked on it. Then I would have created 100 fake accounts and clicked the thumbs down button 100 more times.

You are probably playing a BD/Necro and don't want a needed nerf. And yes we are still in BETA. You know what else drives down population? Spending months on a server that was supposed to be the "balanced server' only to realize every time you go out you are gonna get crapped on by a BD or Necro with literally zero chance to fight back or just zerged (the zerging part I am used to and okay with). I have had some really good 1 v 1 fights with people who pick reasonable characters and that is amazing... what great fun, you know who you are you guys are great. To the rest of these gimps who need broken classes tho, shame on you and also I think you are bad at this game that's why you do it. Devs complete silence btw, I don't think they want to balance things I think they just want as many casuals on as possible. BD is the most popular class as far as I know.

PS. quit focusing on creating PVE encounters and balance the game PLEASE

Please tell me how bds are boosted here... they are shit compared to live at 1.65... the devs nerfed them big time in beta..

Nah just tired of mids and albs being boosted with nice custom changes stacked onto the fact that you guys have the most broken characters, meanwhile devs continue to ignore hibernia, clear favoritism going on. I might as well roll alb since Hib is gonna be left in the dumpster forever.

Lol did Bd's have PD 9 in 1.65? how about pets that disease? How about Twf? How about Adrenaline Rush, how about Bedazzling Aura, how about Juggernaut and Negative Maelstrom? Why don't you just go ahead and tell me how bd's suck now compared to then, please I would love to hear it. Fun fact, bd's get some of the best RR actives, and they have more than most of the caster enemies. I would not be surprised if someone with pull on here plays a BD. Just compare their RR abilities to the other realms and have a good laugh. Either someone wanted bd's to be godlike here or they just didn't think about it and it was something that happened on accident.
Necros are also complete BS including their RR actives if that makes you feel any better.

Everyone got op RA's with nnf change... the devs didn't custom change for the bd.... and it's not pd9... it was already nerfed.. they nerfed bds here with pet levels and number of pets they could have... and no I don't play a bd either... just curious which op solo class do you play btw??? And you do realize class balance can never be 100 percent esp looking 1v1 unless there was only one class to play...

Bd's got the very best RA's so don't even try to compare anyone else to them. Their kits are already way broken, they did not need PD9, their pets are incredibly strong so I have no idea what you are talking about. I can't imagine who would actually want to defend a bonedancer unless you were playing one, I guess you are a mid and you just don't want your realm nerfed?

Nothing you said makes me feel like bd's suck now compared to 1.65, you basically just ignored your own prior statement once I unloaded my critiques on ya. There is basically no retort that anybody could say, it's straight up fact that BD's are BS here, keep ignoring reality I guess?

I think you picked a very unlucky title for your topic since everything you say is valid but a RR wipe will never happen. To many people who invested a lot of time will be pissed and leave the shard.

Absolutely!!!

Lets just wipe the server every time we feel someone is ahead of us. I love this idea, this lets me take 3-4months off and when I come back I can just demand a wipe =)

Seriously, RR's are not that hard to get that you can't get enough to compete in a very short time. Just play instead of whining for a wipe.
