I was unable to attend event in any meaningful way as im beta testing not xping.

I asked how many rps or Ranks people got in the event and wasn't properly answered.

I think it is great you are doing stress tests and so forth. I also think it is fine people level to 50 and test that end of stuff.

I hope at some point there is some instant 50 during the end of the beta for a week or 3 so we can really test the high end content.

BUT

One of the worst things to a new player is coming on and leveling and going out into the frontier and finding yourself at a disadvantage which is large.

On launch, plz don't so any events like this for the first couple months. The insane hardcore will level to 50 pronto, not sleeping, eating, or seeing actual naked women irl .

Those with families and jobs will come in later at a more reasonable pace. The idea of making it unable to take keeps or relics for a few weeks at start and leaving df neutral will help some. Not having bugs or issues where people can exploit and jump out ahead will help as well. Even if you have to roll back if you find out someone saved their best exploits for launch. Possibly even forcing a cap on toons like making it cap at RR 6 until 6 months have passed after launch.

BTW this is free flowing thought here, some ideas may be winners, some losers, and I'm just trying to start a discussion. This is also one of the things we have seen in the past on other servers where one realm got out ahead, one class, one player, etc,.

Trying to start a discussion.

While I agree with the sentiment here, I have to point out it's never a good thing to restrict your hardcore fans. They tend to be the most vocal about anything that they don't agree with.

However, I do agree the events can wait a couple months. Infact it would behoove them to focus on some more lower level events to start, to help the casuals or newbies along. It would be a great way to interact with the playerbase and incentivize the lower level players to get to the end game.

early events for lower levels does sound like a good thing to help push slower people forward, just make sure if they are done make them last longer than 24hr. Hardcore players dont mind ez xp for alts either so its just win win if its a fun lower event.

This event is/was just about to get as many people to rvr at the same time and it is a stresstest to the server. As far as it is for now, we are very happy about the results. At peak there were like 380 people in the zone, fighting, casting, doing things players do and there was no lag or any freeze. We had massive zergfights and the server didnt care about it. Thats all we wanted to know and makes us very confident and to be honest, also a litlle proud that all the hard work seems to be done right.

There wil be events when this server goes live, that is planned. But there wont be events that early like this now.

It was good at the start from a Hib point of view , as we were zerging Orseo keep and visited Mid and Alb mile gates , but then it was a case of go Amg no go Mmg , no wait go the other way , etc. So it didn't take long for the zerg test to evolve into an 8 v 8 , zone.

Zerg leaders should at least try to get all groups with a speed class for starters , running back and forth between mile gates with no speed ( and possibly no group ) = death.

So while your event was a fun at first ( mobs maybe a bit to high at start ) maybe next time get a smaller map for stress testing .

Would also be cool if everyone was nicer to each other (wishful thinking I know). So many flames/insults for battlegroup leaders or group leaders (especially from people who wouldn't/couldn't lead themselves) instead of helpful suggestions, etc.

So many people died in 1-2 hits, that it wasn't really a stress test. People need to cast to stress the server, correct? My level 3 actually got xp, once. Haha!
