i agree it was annoying in some situations but it was also funny to look at and at least in my case got me good...
i logged in pretty early in the morning and there was noone around, then i used the teleporter and right before the load screen came someone ran into view with warlock bubbles above him.
was a serious WTF until i loaded and then was in a mass of players all with the bubbles and i remembered the date
Later and in RvR i also got annoyed a bit, but then i thought to myself: i need to lighten up. Seriously, my game looking a bit different for a single day of the year is really nothing to be upset about. I know it will be gone soon and it wasn't like you couldn't distingusih between enemies at all anymore. Imo after thinking about it, they could go even more overboard. Make the game completely crazy and ridicolous for a day and then (if neccessary) rollback at the end. What is the worst case that can happen, you don't play the game FOR ONE DAY.

Well when you have a crap day, get home to relax.. and you can't even enjoy what you're doing because someone wanted to be cute... not cool.

i get where you are coming from, as i said, i was annoyed and getting angry in between too...
and i have been in the situation of having a shit day and just wanting to get something else in my head with a bit of gaming before the day ends without ANYTHING nice...AND THEN XYZ INGAME HAS CHANGED AND EVERYTHING IS A WORLD OF S*** NOW F**** EVERYONE.

sometimes you just have a bad day, and then everything will be shit. If it hadn't been the bubbles you maybe would have found something else yesterday because you were in a bad mood and then even a small annoyance is suddenly worth killing someone over...
If you had had a brilliant day yesterday you would probably have simply laughed and shrugged it off, or even enjoyed the silliness

It was a funny ha ha April Fools thing for about 1 minute but when I wanted to RvR it got really annoying. It was affecting my FPS.
They should've at least gave us a /command to disable it.

Didn't bother me much, was fun the first hours, but i was somehow glad when it finally stop. Didn't have lags or whatever tho.
I think it was a nice attention to bring bit fun for all and for free, but i guess a command would have been also welcome for those having fps problems or which wouldn't like to be a walking xmas tree/nightclub. ^^

So they don't pull some crap like this again, without giving us an option to turn it off.
I understand they were trying to do something cutesy and fun, but in this case it backfired...Now the horse thing was funny.
