to be fair, he didn't here. Nothing in his post says, this must be fixed or server will die or similar.
He stated what is happening, and as someone who hasn't experienced that yet, i can imagine how annoying it must be and everyone that looks at it without bias can easily see that that cannot be intentional use of rams. It's again players abusing gaemechanics and forcing devs to somehow find a way to make it impossible

I understand what you're saying, but it can seriously be handled by hitting one button. This is apparently too much work for most people.
This is what i have experienced just this weekend.
1. We went to a keep where our keeptake bg was expected by the mids and they were up on the walls inside. After we go through the outer door, possibly it was a double, i don't remember for sure. We went to go into the keep and there was ram after ram after ram. And of course as you say all you need is a target, but also true for the defenders. So Tab for nearest and assist. So you can have a defender as main assist sitting in the middle of all these stupid rams. And all the people on the wall can assist that person and nuke whoever comes in. Add in the potential for TWF and aoe stun or shrooms and it gets really bad.
2. Scenario number 2 we went up into a keep and we found ram after ram and we were negotiating those when a series of TWFs went off. So we have to deal with negotiating the rams, going up the stupid keep, getting to the room, trying to find the enemy, and of course stacked twf, aoe stun, aoe nukes, maelstroms, etc.
3. Scenario number 3 is simply that you can put a ram on a quikbar and click a button and drop a ram in zero time. The ram blocks line of sight.
4. Scenario number 4 is a weird one, the other day we were defending a keep and somehow there was a ram through the door. the door was intact. Mids kept hopping on the ram and then ending up on our side of the door, which was intact, they could not get out, and of course they died.
At 30 gold a ram, one plat can buy 33, 000 rams. We can make rams from one end of the server to the other.

Alt tab doesn't solve this.
I was the victim of point 4. I generally don't go on keep-takes but figured a (visible) alt could use some RP's. I jump on the ram first keepfight I'm in, somehow end up between a gazillion Albs inside a keep and die. Obviously that is a bug (and I guess it can go both ways as it could been abused by tanks to get into the keep faster with some coordination) - but a nasty one.
I agree with all your points tho, rams shouldn't be insta-popped everywhere. Nearest target is not a solution to the problem.

I find it hard to understand how ppl can not just admit, ok this is bugged, ppl exploit it so rams need to be fixed since their implementation is just quick and dirty at the moment.

It is pretty hard to understand. But some people hate me so much they cannot listen to what I say. It's like RDS, or Relvinian Derangement Syndrome.
it boggles my mind how anyone can look at it and think: this is not an exploit is it an exploit that warrants bans, no i don't think so. But the people doing it are exploiters nevertheless.
