Does Avoid of Magic (RA) increase resist chance against magic spells in RvR ?

Hello,

like described in the topic I am wondering if someone increase his magical resists with "Avoid of Magic" (RA) if this just is reducing the damage or will this also
increase the chance to resist .

It's a second tier of damage reduction.

So lets say you are nuked for 200 damage and have 50% resist. 100 damage will remain.

AOM will reduce the listed % of that remaining damage. It is thus mainly useful when resist-debuffed.

It also does NOT decrease CC duration like normal resists.

since I am not native English , I don't understand it 100 % .

Does it mean: AOM increase the CHANCE to resist debuffs ? like stats debuff / mezz / root. (not meaning reducing cc time)

To put in in clear words again:

it only reduces damage

and less than %-resists on items/buffs
