Does shield size affect block chance for dashing defense with multiple attackers? I've heard people say yes and people say no, just hoping we can maybe get an official clarification, thanks!

Melee block rate does not scale with shield size, but the count of attackers that can be blocked simultaneously (=small time frame) does increase with shield size.
Dashing Defense is an extended 'guard' ability.
All block/parry calculations are made against the player that used DD. Shield size matters for the simultaneously attacks to block (attacker count), but not the chance to block.
TL;DR: Yes, shield size matters for DD, but not to increase block chance but to increase amount of attackers that can be blocked.
