Does House rent come from Merchant if not enough in Lockbox?

I read yesterday in discord support about a guy asking questions regarding timer to switch realms, and related to house rent, and Clockwork adviced to 'leave some cash on consignment merchant' so i guess we can assume it's automated. Sadly, i cannot remember if there was a command to enter or if it's entirely automatic, just remember the /listmerchant command which has nothing to do with the subject. I checked official website tho, and found this :

"If there is not enough money in your lockbox to pay your rent, the game will check your consignment merchant's funds and deduct the rent from that money. Lockbox and consignment monies will combine to pay a house's rent if neither alone has enough, but their combined sum is. If the combined sum is not enough when the house rent is due, the house will be repossessed."

Should be taken off your consignment merchant, but I know I have money on mine over on mid, but I keep getting an expiration warning popup every time I load, so I don't really know! Everytime i ask in the discord people say yes, but I have yet to test it to find out.

Same here, had 1p+ on merchant but get the popup too.

It will automaticly pay the rent from CM funds if the rent box goes empty. The message you get telling you the rent box is empty is a reminder to add funds. The game doesn't check to see if the CM has funds cause if you never got the warning message and then you or one of your house partners removed the funds from the CM, the house would go poof!

Yeah, i was thinking that too, ex-IT here, so i'm used dealing with reminders and weird msgs.

Tbh, i don't have really a prob with that, it's even a good thing as i generally put only money in it once 3/4 are gone.
