PvE farming classes - Earth Wizard vs Matter Cabalist

Hey,

So I read here and there the best classes for solo farming endgame are Necro and Matter Cabalist. Basically the Cabalist farm with his aeDoT if I'm not mistaken, so I wonder if an earth Wizard could farm as good as the Cabby, because he has one aeDoT too.

The only con is it's kinda bad in PvE group if I decide to farm with people, and respec-ing ice is out of the question because I want to play earth in RvR.

Caba use pet to send it passive into a large camp of mobs in order to stack them for the aoe dot, wiz cant

Cabby also have damage shield to damage all those mobs he gathers up before he dots.

Pet recycle to get power back quickly.

Shaman is considered one of the best farmer on mid if I'm not mistaken, yet he doesn't have a pet, he just dot and runs. Couldn't the wizzy do the same ? And with more damage because he has more acuity and probably offensive RAs.

I'm sure the wizard could make it work. He also has aoe DD and root, which probably would help in some situations.

The Cabby is probably quicker, more efficient, and has more flexibility with the camps he chooses.

Cabby hands down, Wizard would need niche camps that are already stacked closely together while cabby can do it just about anywhere with pet gathering them and aoe doting.

shaman also has disease to slow the mobs down and buffs to increase his castspd and survivability. also mid doesnt have anything like necro or cab. wiz has nothing to stack the mobs up, you can dot a few mobs and kite them around but it wont be anywhere close to beeing as effective. you´re better of rolling a necro or cab and farm with that.
