switching gear in combat

In pvp this shouldnt be allowed. You have assassins that can just switch poisoned weapons out and stack on you. You have BMs and mercs that spec shield, making the zerker even far less superior in pvp, also if your charge stoicism tanks have a shield and dw dps...normal shield tanks are overlooked.
Also being able to switch weapons in a style chain should not happen as well.

I dont think its unreasonable that assassins can switch weapons, but I agree with the lighttank and shield thing either lower duration of slam or another option would be if you switch your weapon mid combat you get the disarm timer for 2-3seconds (at least if its a different weapon type)

Can't go and start making things up to be implemented .

The ability to rotate weapons/gear has existed since the games inception.

I enjoy the theory-crafting par though.

It is one thing to go from lets say s/s to a 2H

But are there not special /switch commands that allow you to switch in items from your back to your equipped weapons? If those commands do exist currently in live they did not in 1.65. It is one thing to be manually dragging new weapons out of your pack to switch mid combat, it is quite another to have a hotkey demand do it for you...I agree with OP on this point.

/switch commands just make it easier to do what is already possible with drag/drop.

There's absolutely no reason for anything like this to be implemented, let alone introduce disarm/fumble variables when weapon swapping.

I guarantee that if an Assassin class had to drag and drop different weapons to switch poisons out there wouldn't be so much talk about how OPed they are.

/Switch command is waaaaaay over powered for Assassins. So ZERO downtime in switching to a different weapon for Procs/Alch?!? CMON !!!!! Even Casters have timers on spells when their casted. Put in a /switch Delay.

I have to Click on the different types of arrows I want to use depending on the Class i'm shooting. Just make my quiver /Auto switch when I click on a toon/mob and it will automatically pick the best arrow type if its in my quiver. That way I dont have to /SWITCH (curser over a different Arrow) and waste time in fights. I can change targets a lot easier too.

Assassins aren't the only class type that utilizes weapon swap. I swap multiple different weapons on my Mercenary (No, I'm not Slam spec) depending on what proc type I'm going for.

I agree that /swap wasn't absolutely necessary. I am definitely more in favor of player skill versus QoL improvements that compensate for player skill.

At least stay up2date with patches before complaining about stuff that was nerfed hard already

this isn't really a 1.65 server, there are all sorts of things here that did not exist in 1.65 and i'm not even referring to custom things like /switch.
