24 people TG Raid [DONE] - Phoenix Freeshard

Heyo Folks,

on Saturday March 16. i'll host a 3 FG full TG raid to get an idea how much feathers a full run will drop with the minimum amount of players.

You are welcome to join the party, aslong as you have 4 hours time, you are temped and are able to join the shit chat on discord (even on listen mode).

Since this need some kind of organizing,- you'll have to apply here, with Class, name and spec and i'll edit the 3 groups here once or twice the day.

Note:
# This is not a perma brain afk raid like the daily ones. Just apply here if you can stay the whole 4 hours without gettin wife or children aggro.
# If you have the opportunity to respec your realm abilities,- please do so that they are usefull in pve,- i.e. power RAs/PR for Healer, MoB/MoP for all melee classes. Its not usefull for anyone if you run purge 5 and IP 3 solo RvR RAs.
#All the loot will be randomed at the end, there is no leader drop or anything else. Mostly everyone should get a respec, items and we expect about 20k-30k feathers (depending we do trash mobs aswell).
#This is not a hasty raid,- i want an oldshool smooth raid with some nice shit chat/discord blabla,- so dont join here if you are in hurry.

Meeting is 12:30 o clock (GMT+1) Berlin time in Hagall. Start 30 minutes later. If your not there 15 minutes before we start (12:45) i'll immediately look for a replacement in lfg. So please just apply here if you are 100% sure to join the party

I can come on Supp SM, standard spec thane, or 45dark/29supp BD. Only the BD is temped if that matters. I also have temped SB but I think the other chars are more applicable.

You do realize that this is going to be a 6-8 hours raid, with some bosses nearly unkillable due to their damage shield?
And the number of feathers is the same.

Allright,- until now just a Warrior and Skald is missing.. i guess, we'll find this 2 guys easily until tomorrow.
You can still apply here for the waiting list/replacement, in case someone is not there at 12:45 pm. Otherwise i'll fill up from lfg.

Please remember to respec important RAs if possible, bring power pots/Tinders/Fastfood and get your Headset/Microfon ready.

Thx all for the participation and those, who gave it a try to see whats going on with 3 FG.

Summarized we can say:

Sadly, its not worth to form smaller, well organized groups, due the fact that the Feather Pool of Boss mobs is just simply to low.
We startet at 1pm, and "finished" about 6:00 pm with random the loot. We skipped 2 Bossmobs (Torst & Jailer) and the most of the trash mobs, and the King/Queen, cause we wiped and after 3 hours the entire Mobs at entrance were respawned.
After this 4 Hours, we had around 11k Feathers,- thats similar to a 1 hour TG zerg rush. No significant Boss loot except RoGs,- that means you mostly still have to buy from the Feather merchant and a chance gettin an Item you need from a regular drop, is mostly towards zero.
Each Bossmob dropped around 400 to 420 feathers,- so mostly the double amount for 1/10 to 1/15 of the people which participate on the daily Raids.
Unfortunately, this is in no relation to a smaller raid size.
There is a "fixed" amount of Feathers, every Player will gets. Around 200- 230 (like you may notice on the daily raids).
And, there is a "pool" of Feathers which will be splittet between all Players. This "Pool" seems around 4000 Feathers. 4000/24 Player = 166 feathers for every Player.
166 Pool feathers+ 220 fixed Feathers = the +/- 400 Feathers we get.. But it took 4x the time.
This just can be fixed and rewarded, when the Pool is significantly higher than the current one.

Nevertheless, we had alot of Fun inside TG, and we all came to the conclusion thats its all doable with 3-4 FG,- but its simply not worth atm.
Again: You gave your Mobs so much nice abilities and gimmicks. (I.E it was the first time we saw Hurika die on a regular basis).- but it's really sad, that this effort of coding was for nothing because they simply get zerged down and the players are not encouraged to build smaller groups.

Right now it's not instanced so you'd likely have a guild or 2 monopolize the feathers/drops.

Your average player would replace grinding Galla/TG/Sidi for grinding gold to buy gear. I don't see how this is a better situation.

Lots of blind hate towards large forces.

People seem to think this game was build for small groups of friends to do things on their own. That is exactly the opposite of what this game was meant to be. Multiple realms at WAR, not just a couple groups of people trying to find other groups of people. A sense of pride in your realm where you can gather a force (force = more than 8 people) and kill mythical monsters and fight other realms. It was not intended for the small elitist groups to prove to the world how great they are at an elf sim.

The fact that people still want things to be changed to better suit their antisocial gaming in a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game is ridiculous.

Yeahhhhh, you misunderstood what i wrote. My comment was based on the whole "Ugh, a Zerg" comment that was made. For christs sakes i even bolded the portion of his comment that i was talking about.

I actually applaud people who put together these types of things with the goal of figuring out whether things can be done more efficiently.

But i appreciate you making yourself look super petty and raging because you couldn't comprehend what i said.
