Questions for actual Earth Wizards

Earth Wizard questions:
How often do you cast (if you have it) your matter debuff? For example do you ever Bolt + Matter Debuff while bolt is flying, then single target DoT a target?

Is the AoE DoT useful besides leeching RPs in zergs or keeps? I'm having a hard time justifying going up this high cuz I want my fire/ice baseline nuke to have less variance. I figure in either situation I can just use the AoE DD/snare instead.

Ice or Fire as secondary? Seems pretty clear that Fire is the more selfish spec (to make your baseline fire bolt not suck) but you pay with a lower delve baseline DD. Where as Ice you can debuff for theurgists. Anything in either spec line seems useless at the 22-26 spec you might have.

Alb caster questions:
AFAIK there is currently no power charge item for Alb casters - is there anything interesting out there? Otherwise I'm looking at Acuity, Dex/Qui, AF charges.

Armor procs - I opted for 55% heal 45% mhb on my Infiltrator. Any reason to lean one way or the other on a Wizard?

Best way to get RPs is to 49 ae dot zergs. The 50% debuff is not used much, and casting the debuff after using the bolt isn't reliable. Go Ice as 2nd spec, you get more damage on the delve.

Earth spec is a silly spec. The Fire and Ice lines should have their own builtin debuffs. If Earth is the nearsite line then fine, but fire and ice should have debuffs in their respective lines. Fire and Ice are worse on this server than they ever were in Classic/Si Live. Boring class to play here to be honest. The swap to NNRA is partly why.

Earth is nice to play with big numbers. With the realm tasks going its worth a shot.

What I don't like is that ae dd snare does so low dmg on radius. The dmg is normal on your target but the spell must be bugged, since the dmg on others in the radius is rediculus. Even if they are all standing on the same spot dmg breaks down on other enemies big time.
For my understanding it should work like ice pbaoe. The nearer your to the epicentrum the more dmg you should get from the spell. Atm it's like your target gets full dmg and everything else gets lower dmg no matter if they are near or far away from your target.

My wiz is 49 earth rest Fire.

Most of the time its, ns 1-2x, bolt, bolt, heat debuff, nuke.

Zerg fights or if there is a assist train running, ae dot, ae dd snare, ae dd snare.

Ae dot ticks for atleast 120 and with wp6 the crits are fun.


Matter debuff and single dot i use only for boss fights or sometimes a running stealther.


But you want the ae dot believe me.


Edit: purp acu charge, power Barrel, no other charges cause of 2min timer
2x mhb, 4x heal
