Goldsinks are important for the economy imo and some people paid a lot for a good spot.

I don't think just flat removing the fee would be reasonable at all.

Well, a good lot is important for the market explorer items order .
If u have a good lot, you will be in page 1 or 2 for sure.

That's the important thing.

If i need something that is for sale in house 3250 I don't care about the distance, because we have the housing teleporters tokens.

So removing the 20% fee is just a good QOL improvement

The fact that the maps don’t match the plots is another reason.

Not sure i agree, and thats not because I'm some sort of masochist.

1) The gold sink IS important and would need to be replaced with something else. If gold never actually leaves the economy, we'll start seeing huge inflation.

2) Running to someones house gives buying items a completely different feeling which i prefer over the plain auctionhouse system we would otherwise have.

I agree especially with point #2. However the maps not being accurate to actual housing lot really screws that up. That and the lack of horse merchants make getting around housing a real pain in the ass.

It's not going away.

It is one of the very few major gold sinks that, like the bigger house rent / bigger houses, only affects people who choose to pay it, ie people that have lots of gold.

If you remove the housing map provided by your custom UI you'll fall back to the default maps which our patch includes which should have accurate lot numbers.

Thats not working for me, i reinstalled my daoc today, only run the patcher and logged in with no additional ui. Also i removed my config folder so i have a 100% true fresh install. I have still lotnumber missmatch in housing.
