Slam duration + Levi - Phoenix Freeshard

a reaver just casually dumbs 320+ damage with one levi on a chain class and can do like 4-5 styles with capped 1h swing speed when you are in slam, I know soloing is shit because of the speed mechanics here but how is it balanced to only be able to counter another melee as a melee if you have purge up? I would either suggest nerf levi make it a 2 style chain or nerf slam duration, its enough if a reaver can hit you to 20% in slam but there is no need that he can kill a temped chain class in slam on his own.

I know soloing is tough on a none speed/stealth class but this damage is still ridiculous.

The class design is awful. It has been this way since SI came out. It’s *highly* unlikely it will get changed. Don’t fight them without purge up. It’s not like they have ranged CC or any ability to chase you down.

Yeah take it away just give them Stoic, Quad Hits, 30-50% evade from all angles and double their DPS.

well thats sadly the only option, same goes for thrust mercs with slam without enough moparry on skald and purge up

My old reaver suggestion post. Maybe add your 2cents to it if you think these ideas would be in alignment with yours or add more to it. Honestly this class has a lot more potential for fun.

you can easiely counter a svg 1vs1 just use engage until their selfbuffs drop u dont even need purge for that, then slam and levi to victoy^^

Hmm...you do know the svg buffs have a 15s duration and 5s recast...? You're more likely to find a good deal at Whole foods than you are to find a svg in combat with buffs down.

Oh yeah just Engage for 15 seconds while they attack you with 25% defense pierce.

Also 1v1 doesn't matter, or Bonedancers would be nerfed into the grave. How to beat a Reaver as a BD? Press "Pet Attack"

Savage h2h doesn’t increase def pen AFAIK. It just gives the chance of double/triple/quadruple unstyled hits.

if engage is anything like on live its like 100% block, except if your target gets attacked ofc
