Templating

Hello everyone,

I am trying to create a template and I would just like to know your views on a matter.

I have managed to cap almost everything except one infuriating (!) Point in strength, which I assume is the most important stat for melee. So I am currently sitting at 74/75.

My question is, how big of a deal do you guys think this is? How important is to actually cap everything?

It kind of bugs me that 1 point is missing, and I am not sure if I should invest the time/effort to solve it.

I know this might percieved as a kind of ridiculous topic. Sorry for that and thanks for any opinions on the matter.

Good Morning,

If you just want to do pickup groups for RVR and move along with the zerg for tasks there is no urgent need in capping everything if it ruined a) your playing time to do so or b) ruined you economically.
The 'I need to cap everything' derives from the perfection of 8on8, where every point counts, when playstyle /luck equals.

We have RR6 having fun every evening and not having resistances above 20

I'd say it depends on what class you ae templating (difficulty), the overall quality of your template (missing anything else?) and how much you have already invested in it.

Decent utility rogs are pretty cheap, so it might be worth upgrading.

That said, you'll never notice the missing 1 str, but it would annoy me

1-2 points are neglectible if it isnt dex on a caster for breakpoints and such, resists/proccs matter a little more

Thanks for the replies!

I should have said that it is a weaponless shadowblade template. It ha taken some time and effort to get this right (almost right, I guess haha).

I believe I agree in that I won't notice it that much. I don't think it will affect my dmg that much(?). The question now is if I want to continue trying to perfect it or if should just settle and enjoy my dam shadowblade, haha. I guess I could try with another hight utility piece of jewelry or if I find a lower utility one but with a perfect fit, but yeah don't know.

That point just bugs me so much so that I want to drop into molting lava.

it probably won't matter a lot BUT on a shadowblade it will surely have an impact more often than in a groupsetting. but still, the amount of fights that go differently because of 1str will be miniscule

That said, i wouldn't build a temp that is missing 1 Str. It would bug me even if it isn't really gamechanging. On the other hand, a shadowblade is really unfun without temp, so it's not like "just run a few more days without temp, to optimize. And as long as you use weapons with str on them you wouldn't be missing a stat anyways... (the skald-sword has str on it too for example)

PS: what UT ROGs and featheritems are you using? Weaponless SB temp sounds incredibly hard to build. How much rollluck or money did you pour into it?

That is tru that when i equip a main hand weapon, as long as I have 1 strength on it it will cap my template. Still that 1 point is lingering in my mind haha.

Here is my template. I really hope i didn't make any mistakes with the stats of the items, double checked everything. I will double check again to be sure.

It most likely doesn't matter, but man, that would eat at me after awhile.

I'd have to cap it just for sanity's sake.
Wed 20 Feb 2019 7:11 PM by jelzinga_EU
Stealth on OH means you can't just use any 2h as the moment you equip 2h the stealth is Lost.

That is a much bigger problem than 1 missing strength
Wed 20 Feb 2019 7:31 PM by Seosaidh
Yeah I will probably move around some stats and skills to optimize it a bit.
Thu 21 Feb 2019 9:14 AM by Seosaidh
I also can remove some envenom from the template to cap that point. But yeah, that would mean I need to use an item +envenom to do my poisons and switch.

As someone that is fairly new to crafting / charplanning I had a hard time getting a template for my sb done.
As you can imagine i was really excited when I found yours and copied it to moras. I then realised that all of your crafted armor is heavily overcharged, is it even possible to craft those items? I really have no clue.
And if so, how much would those five mp armorpieces + spellcrafting approximately cost me?
Are MP armorpieces needed to be able to do this kind of sc'ing?

Thx in advance

SB template are among the hardest to do because of all the skillines that need to be temped, unless you have really high average UT accessories you should farm/invest in MP armor.
Even then it isn't easy.

But a template like the one posted is craftable? I was worried because of the huge overload.

Yes, the 37,5 Imbuepoints are possible if the Armor is of MP quality (100%)
on 99% pieces you can only go up to 33,5

32.5 for 99% I thought?

100% = 37.5
99% = 33.5
