Save me from zerg surfing retirement.

Long story short.... I have ran in 8 mans in the glory days pre TOA and retired soon after NF. When this server came out I quickly leveled a zerker to 50 and got him templated and needed RA's but found my play time 9pm-2am EST to be very clique and had trouble getting in good organized groups. I was preferring to run 8 manish groups then zerging at the time. After a few disappoint weeks of a few runs and camping PK's I decided I would try solo. I know hunters are gimpy but thought it would be a fun challenge. Got him to 50 and fully templated and off I went. It had its moments but being a soloer getting wrecked by 2+ assassins when I really couldn't take one solo got old quickly. I also learned that outside of a few people solo fights didn't really ever exists.

So here I am. I think its time to just be casual and zerg surf it up. I really wanted to dive deep back in but I feel very disappoint. Key note is not disappoint with the game or this server its absolutely amazing !!!!!

So how can you help you ask? Tell me what class and spec to roll to fill a gap in your 8man late EST or CST spot even if its a alternative for someone sketchy. Or help me pick the class that's the most fun to zerg surf with.

Thanks

Aug or pac healer and shaman is always in high demand 24/7, especially in US time zones.

I would say that a few 8mans exist but during OF there was a lot more zerg than 8man action. The next patch update with the new RvR Tasks may also help calm down the zerg some and allow for some more distance between groups as we will have a choice, go to breifine and do that task, or run emain for that task. or even go take keeps at crua/crim. Either way Thanes make great Zerg classes, AOE HAMMAH!!!

mid is nothing but zerging, any fight remotely close in numbers mid loses everytime

no one wants to make groups, unless group is full people leave, 1 wipe people leave

its literally all horrible players surfing zergs as you said, no cure just quit

I play alb and mid, from what I’ve seen true 8 mans are hard to get into, guilds and people who only run with certain people, the in crowd for 8 mans. If your not part of that your in usually bad pug groups if you can get a group at all. If you don’t like support shaman healer etc then try a skald. They are a must have for any group, can solo or small man also.

Yeah today was a rough day....was exited to get my BD to 50 and he has a beast mode template (not hard to do on a caster.) Well I was fully prepared to solo some and zerg surf some as well in shit groups. To my surprise 7 hours of play today and not one group invite after spamming LFG and been solo the whole day... made some decent RP's but what the hell.....It not like I was holding out for a good group or anything. I have never played him Pre TOA days but this shit is awful. On top of that the few 1v1's I get just get zerg by mids. /rantoff

Try running emain when not a task zone, try to make a smallman for that. There are people in emain when non task because they want non zerg action. some 8 mans, some smallmans and solos also. I pretty much live in emain on my Infil. Made him cause I was in the same boat as you lfg and hardly ever getting one on my warrior. Try to make friends with a skald and smallman with him. Takes patients and getting zerged some in emain when im solo but got 17 solo kills yesterday on my inf.

Yeah I learned this after about 2 hours. I go to Task zone and get credit then back to emain. Sadly if you got solo kills yesterday a few of those where most likely me. No purge and not high enough PD means some better infil kill me before I can recover from stun.

When I got 50 on my eld, I couldn't get rvr grps either.

My guild didn't have many 50s at the time, so I was stand in Drum ligen for hours spamming alliance and lfg for rvr, was willing to join discords -- but alas.. no invites.

I rerolled a Nightshade and am at 4L6.. never looked back.

No one pugs here, it's too bad.

I played on Hib and learned they always want the perfect group and invite specific people first. I played Bard and Druid and had issues getting groups all the time, unless my guild had people roaming then I was good to go. /LFG was pointless.

I left and joined Mid and it is like night and day. I got a Skald to 50 and I have a Shaman almost to 50. There are a billion other skalds going and even with them I NEVER have issues getting rvr groups, and even at 43 my Shaman is constantly being asked to join an RvR group from people I don't know.

I’m sad that Hibs aren’t willing to random pug. Speed, CC, heals and boom, pug. I’m the kinda person who invites a blue just because they have speed/endo/is running solo as well and we have a better chance of landing hits in the zerg together, though, so YMMV.

If you aren’t finding a group, make one. A lot of newer players don’t realize the RvR task is a bubble plus RPs, just like kill tasks EXP wise.

I played Hib/Alb in Beta, and now Mid. And I can not see myself switching, people are extremely open to inviting random people to groups, and even the major GG's seems more friendly. Hib was the worst though.
They never seem to care if someone adds, although they will try to find 8v8 fights.
And one GG even rezzed my rm, healed me and put down a tinder and left...

Mids might be strong and whatever, but their numbers are highly affected by the extreme openess to new players/faces.
