Earth Theurg - More Utility? - Phoenix Freeshard

There's almost no utility within the Earth spec line, compared to Ice or Air (41 Ice or 45 Air.) Is there any consideration to giving the DD and AoE DD to the Earth spec (from the Live servers)?

If not, is it possible to tweak high Earth spec Theurgs (48 Earth) to use less mana per pet, or CC immunity? How about higher damage, health, and/or crit chance?

It's essentially the Bot spec.

Yeah I understand...it is usually the leveling spec...

But you can't have one of the best defensive tools in the game AND expect to DPS like your other specs.

PBT uses mana, and while you assume that DPS would play like any other Class, taking a double hit to power is not as easy as you make it seem.

I play all different kinds of casters and I have played Theurgs...

Yes theurgs have been on the higher end of the mana drain, but on the flip side it is so EASY to get serenity + MCL + blue/yellow power pot + blue/yellow PoM pot if you don't have a sorc for red pom that on this server I have zero power issues after 30.

Power pots are usable every 30 seconds or so...maybe a little longer but still too often IMHO and MCL with it is just constant power buff.

Low lvl is different but PBT is more of a 30+ thing when that issue, plus it is also easy to get MCL at any lvl here so you can be fully prepped for RvR by lvl 20 easy.

I believe all Theurgist pets are immune to cc.

You just can instantly kill TheurgPets with Confusion. Other CC is not working

The advantage of Earth pets is the duration. They live much longer than ice and air pets.

I just heared yesterday about the Nearsight of the earth wizard. And i was like o-m-g.
Does every realm has now 2 classes with nearsight? afaik not.
Those random tries to balance suck.

Thats the point. Some skilltrees are useless. Many classes do have those. Cant power them all.
This server is already massively customized (eg Paladin or EarthWiz). Dont change too much...

I'm not suggesting that Earth is "useless", I'm more concerned that PBT corners the Theurg with very limited utility. I was mainly focused on 48 Earth spec, and I'm glad to hear that the pets are immune to CC (most Albs I've spoke to think the pets get mezz/rooted and are useless.)

Changing the 48 Earth pets to cost 7% power instead of 12% would be great, and would be a nod to the Class running PBT. Any consideration towards Earth spec Theurgs and PBT power utilization would be outstanding.
